Guest guest
, my understanding is that s is just adrenal insufficiency, which I definitely have. This is why I take Cortef daily. We diagnosed with blood tests - I suggest you ask your doctor about this for you. Good luck - Jennie > After doing research this morning for hours I might > have come across > something that just might explain what is going > on....I could have a type of > s disease. s produces high blood > calcium levels, low blood > pressure, etc. I have every symptom mentioned in > the addison diseasae > description. Guest guest
I don't know much about it, but I do remember talking about magnesium with Daryl's doctor and thinking something just wasn't quite right. He said she didn't need magnesium supplements, as she had lots of it in her blood. But she was in such pain all the time. Magnesium helps to relax muscles, so I was trying to think of the possibilities for her. Hmmm, with your info, it sounds like he wasn't clued into the fact that even though the magnesium was IN her body, it may not have been used by her body. A number of women have had adrenal gland issues, (exhausted adrenals), but I do not remember much in the way of discussion of treatment. I believe I also had adrenal glad issues, as my saliva was tested for cortisol and the levels were found to drop in a big way around 4 pm, which was consistent with when my fatigue would hit when I was at my sickest. I used to get tired so early in the evening and not make it through. Let us know what your doctor proposes for treatment. Thanks, Hugs, Patty > I was just wondering has anyone been tested for addisons disease to > account for some of the fatigue and weekness symptoms. Guest guest
Thanks Kenda, there's another clue for me from back then. My naturopath put me on Isocort too, but he didn't test my liver function like yours did. I took Isocort but didn't feel a thing, so I don't know what was going on. I finished the bottle, and that was that. On to the next thing. I wonder what would happen if I took it now? I need to get some testing done. Guest guest
--- My ND started me on a milder form of the isocort first and was totally suprised that it didnt do anything for me. I was also anemic at teh time so he would give me b12 shots and still not a damn thing. So then we went to the isocort and still nothing. This was all about a year ago. After i had rested for 4 months and had no stimulants i tried the isocort again and 3 tablets would waken me up a little bit but mostly i just got hot flashes. Now i had blood work done again and my adrenals are much worse and no supplement helps. I would love to know that fixing my adrenals was the answer to all my problems, i guess i need to see an endocrine specialist. I also am gonna by an alkine water machine as well.
