Hi,

Yes, you have vertigo. It is very common and can be helped with a medication called meclizine. Vertigo is caused by an inner ear problem. I've heard that all it takes is two hairs crossing in the inner ear and you can have this reaction. Some people actually throw up with it. I haven't had a problem with it in years but I know exactly how you feel. It is very fightening.

Dear Ladies,

I woke this morning at 6.30 am with the room spinning, I could not focus and it went on to last two hours.

I have been really unwell all day after this episode, my eyes and brain don't seem to be functioning together. Although the spinning has stopped I am still giddy, I have had my ears checked today and they are fine, as usual the doctor cannot say what's wrong with me, I have long since given up hoping they will tell me what's wrong.

Just wanted to know if anyone else had had this kind of thing, I nearly fainted with it too, my osteopath thinks its the shock, it is really awful so would appreciate any advise.

Thanks

Not all vertigo is caused by an inner ear problem. I had this same

spinning dizziness when I first became ill, and I had my ears

checked out by an ear, nose and throat specialist and he could not

find anything wrong.

This vertigo can also be associated with MS, but this symptom is

seen pretty often with other MS-like symptoms in implanted women who

become ill.

Sue, are you still using your sauna? This problem became more

pronounced for me when I used my sauna, so I had to stop using for a

period of time. Now, when I use my sauna, I make sure to wrap my

head in a wet towel before I go in, and I don't stay in too long.

Heat can exacerbate symptoms of dizziness for those with MS-like

symptoms, and in fact, the sauna manufacturer's have a warning label

on their products for those with MS, because they are generally heat

sensitive.

Hope this helps you. Take care and don't stress too much. Prayer

helps!

Patty

Sue,

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well again! You

were beginning to do so well!

There was a post just recently about a sluggish liver

causing dizziness . . . maybe one of the ladies can

elaborate.

With all the detoxing you've been doing, maybe the

gunk is backing up in your liver.

Love,

Rogene

Sue

Hopefully it is just the garden variety of vertigo. I have a friend

who has just been diagnosed with. Her symptoms were very similar.

Vertigo can happen for many reasons---some insignificant and others

as a symptom of something more serious. I have also had vertigo.

Some causes are sinus, fluid behind the eardrum (I had this but

didn't even know it), meniere's disease, etc. Rarely it can be

something more serious like a neurological problem or tumor. But

since I have known at least a couple of people in the last few

months with these same symptoms, I would tend not to panic. I found

out I had fluid behind mye eardrums by visiting a doctor. I hope

you are feeling better soon.

Love, kathy

Hi Sue,

My name is Kendal and I'm new to this group. I've read a couple postings regarding your vertigo. Whatever the cause or reason for it, it can be helped until you find out what is causing it. Meclizine will enable you to get out of bed without falling and the dizziness will most definietely go away. Then you can go and find out the exact cause, whether it is something from the implants, water behind the eardrum, heat whatever. I remember what it is like and frankly I wouldn't want to wait for a doctor to find out what is causing it. You can't live your life like that because you can't walk and like some people can't focus their eyes like you said. Meclizine will clear that up and then go and find out the cause. This is just my opinion. I'm new and I know that some people don't like to take advise from anyone new. If I start giving you advise about breast implants then I'd suggest you ignore me as I don't know

what I'm going to do about mine just yet! :)
