Guest guest
Please contact dpettitt@... for information about participating in a study " Sick Silicone Syndrome Study " (SSSS). Participation is free. This involves submitting hair, nail, urine and blood samples before implants are removed. Deb will send you a kit with everything needed to send samples. Deb is working on making arrangements with a national lab to draw blood. . . However you primary care doctor, or plastic surgeon, can draw the blood too. It will be months before the results begin to come in, so this is not something you will be able to take to your doctor to help with treatment right now. However, this is the FIRST study of it's kind. The goal is to find out why women are getting sick after getting implants. Deb is also testing some children. . . Please contact Deb Pettitt (dpettitt@...) for further information. Thanks, Rogene
