MGUS is the shorten version of Monoclonial Protein of Unspecified Significance. Which means that I have a specific type of protein that is not suppose to be in the blood. It is seen in multiple myeloma or other forms of bone cancers. 20% of people with MGUS progress to having some form of cancer.

It will entail a surgery where they go in to the stomach and groin area and clean out the arteries. My mother has had the surgery done twice and it is a fairly common procedure. If he is not able to schedule the surgery this week then I will have to wait until after school starts as August is the busies month for me trying to get the kids off to school. I had hoped to have it done this summer so I had the kids to help around the house, but that is looking slimmer by the day. We are hoping that the surgery takes away some of the pain, but right now I don't know how much is the SD and how much is the clogged arteries.

Hugs to all

I still don't know much about MGUS . . . but Lea said

the tests to determine if one has MGUS are SPEP and

UPEP.

I pray none of us have it!

God Bless All,

Rogene
