Guest guest
I have sent maybe a thousand women to Dr. Huang, and never had a negative report. My daughter went to her for a breast reduction, and she looks wonderful. She is about half the price of Feng, but I have to say that I recommend both, depending on where you live. I think, since you live in Denver, you will find Dr. Huang to be a wonderful plastic surgeon, and ask for before and after pictures. Guest guest
---I was just explanted two weeks ago by Dr. Huang, i live in colorado springs and would have made the trip to texas for Dr. Melmed but i went to dr. Huang and i really liked her. Today i got my dressings off and i am pretty happy with the way they look. I was actually really suprised. I would recommend her if you are living in Denver, surgery is hard enough when you dont have to travel. Guest guest
I know she works very hard to make sure women look very good after explant. And she removes them properly. Guest guest
Lynda, Thank you for your input. I guess my major concern is if both surgeons are equal in expertise as far as escaped silicon removal. I can't see how my silicon implants could be intact after 14 years and if mass amounts of silicon have escaped the capsule, I want to know that I have gotten as much out as possible and not have to go through this again. I know Feng does the ultrasound diagnostic. I just don't know how much good that does when there are particles of silicon throughout a person's body that no surgeon could possibly get to ! Thanks again for your help. K > >Hi, I am new to this group and considering either Huang or Feng for > >explantation. I live in Denver so Huang would be the more convenient > >choice. Guest guest
I would have to say that they are both experts in this field, and doubt if one is better than another. They went to school together. Lynda At 07:19 PM 8/3/2005, you wrote: >Lynda, >Thank you for your input. Guest guest
My personal opinion is that Dr. Feng is probably one of the top experts in the country on removing residual silicone from ruptured implants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her above all others. Patty > > >Hi, I am new to this group and considering either Huang or Feng > for > > >explantation. Guest guest
I know Dr. Feng is better known by some in this group, but I sincerely doubt that one is better than the other. I would trust Dr. Huang every bit as much as Dr. Feng. Guest guest
I had a consult with Huang and she was really very nice. She is not, however, interested in removing lymph nodes or anything that might be supsect. She told me that she believes getting the implant and capsule out should remove 99% of the silicon and whatever is left in my body... well.. my body will encapsulate it and wall it off if it's large enough. I don't honestly know what the best approach is. My only major concern is that she doesn't feel I need a lift and that really scares me regarding outcome. My breasts are up high on my chest and very perky but after 14 years of 325cc and not much natural breast tissue to speak of.... what the heck happens with all of the strectched out skin?? She told me I could always come back for a lift a year from now if I was unahppy. I'm not thrilled with the prospect of having additional surgery if I don't absolutely have to ! I need to post to the women who have had removal and no lift. I've seen some great pics but those women are more like a B cup after removal, not an A. *sigh* K > > > > >Hi, I am new to this group and considering either Huang or Feng > > > for > > > > >explantation. Guest guest
Actually Dr. Huang does some internal stitching that lifts the breasts. And I myself have grave doubts as to the advisability of removing lymph nodes, as, unless an MRI or untrasound shows they are clogged, they will clean themselves and our immune system needs them. I had two removed, and regret it. Lynda At 01:16 PM 8/5/2005, you wrote: >I had a consult with Huang and she was really very nice. Guest guest
K, You skin can spring back . . . This depends on your skin elasticity - which depends in large part on your age. If Dr Huang thinks you will be happy a year from now, she most likely thinks your skin will spring back. Most women find that their natural tissue " fluffs " after the implants are removed. Your true shape and size will be evident months after your explant. Most women are pleasantly surprised at how they look. I agree with Lynda that removing lymph nodes shouldn't be removed. When you have your implants removed, the amount of silicone in your urine peaks. This tells me that your body is going to pass small accumulations naturally. It does take time. Drinking a lot of water will help immensely. We used to have before and after pictures in our archives. However, that made us an adult group, so we've taken them down. You can see photos at www.explantation.com. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
--- I thought the same thing when i went in a month and a half ago, i figured how could i not need a lift when i had stretched that skin out so much. But Dr. Huang said i definitly didnt and boy was she right. I am actually pretty pointy, i wish i had some sag, haha we are never happy with what we have. Im figuring i am only 23 so i will have some time for gravity to take over. I know yours have been in a lot longer though, but if they still seem pretty perky then i would think she might be right. I will try to send you some pics of mine if you would like. I am only an A, but i am also pretty petite, i have actually lost at least 5 pounds since explant. When is your app with Dr. Feng? Guest guest
Rogene, Thank you for your reply. I think my skin is fairly elastic. Through two pregnancies and breastfeeding (another huge concern I know live with) I don't have any stretchmarks and not too much extra skin. My breasts didn't really drop down any farther after all of that and boy were they huge while I nursed. I'm 5'4 and 120 lbs so I'm fairly petite (with C cup boobs... realistic eh??) Hehe. I will take the opinion of the experts on the topic of lift. With the silicone. If it's outside the capsule, Dr. Huang feels certain she can get most of it. Probably same technique... scraping it away.My implants are textured... another issue, but she said she has seen " everything " . I did ask my doc to do a platinum and tin test (Probably just test for all the metals) and he told me to wait until I have them removed, then come in immmediately for the tests. That will give us worse case scenario and a starting point to get my system " cleaned up " . I've read every story at explantation.com and think that so many of those women are absolutely beautiful without implants. It has given me a great sense of peace about something I know has to be done regardless of outcome. Thank you for your hugs and prayers ! K > K, > > You skin can spring back . . . Guest guest
Aubree... I would love to see before and after if you have them. I looked a lot of photos in her office an MOST of those women did not have a lift. I was suprised ! I'll listen to her professional opinion on that. I don't have an appoint. set up with Feng. She gave me some options for surgery date and I called yesterday but did not hear back. I would have to fly out for a consultation and ultrasound. At least I would know for sure what we are dealing with internally. That would help with my decision, but right now I feel pretty good about Dr. Huangs level of expertise. She didn't seem concerned of the possiblity of silicone being all over my chest cavity. You are so right.. are we ever happy with every aspect of our bodies? I suppose that is what got us implants in the first place ! I need to be happy au natural ! That is the way God made me after all and who am I to question his handy work?! Well.... a little botox between the eyes wouldn't hurt i guess.... K K > > > > > > >Hi, I am new to this group and considering either Huang > or > > Feng > > > > > for > > > > > > >explantation. Guest guest
Hi there I had very small AA's pre-implants and received 250cc's under the muscle.... I had them in for 7 years and they became much larger when I was pregnant and breast feeding... I went from a C to about a DD for a while there and my doctor said the same thing - I did not need a lift. I questioned it also as I did not want any additional surgeries or to look weird.... He was right and I am glad I followed his recommendations and didn't spend the extra money. My breasts look fairly normal now - a little larger than before implanting with no saggyness or extra skin, etc. Maybe they have a way of knowing from one woman to the next based on age and the implant size, etc., as to whether or not they will need the lift... I am not sure but he was right on the money in my case and saved me thousands as well as extra scarring, etc. Just thought you might like another point of view on this one... I was 32 at my explant... shari
Guest guest
shari, I genuinely appreciate your input as it puts my mind at ease to hear your experience. BTW, do you mind sharing who did your surgery? I will listen to the professional opinion of whomever performs the surgery. Like you said, the docs who perform this procedure repeatedly probably have a good idea of what to expect with each case. How long did it take for your tissue to " fluff out " and fill in? I want to be mentally prepared for immediate results vs. long term. I'm 36 now and have two children under 4. My body bounced back fairly well after both. My breasts also got huge, but didn't seem to look any different after nursing. I also would be wonderfully happy not to spend the extra $ on the lift ! Thank you so much.
