If I have it it is in the early stages but does continue to increase annoyingly. Sorry you are so bothered with it. Cheri [ ] Eye pain Hi everyone, For the last couple of weeks I've felt like I've had dirt or sand in my right eye. It is red and scratchy and basically driving me crazy. It's a bit crusty in the morning (what a picture I'm painting). It isn't like this every day, but has been on and off. I have seen in some places that eye pain, similar to conjunctivitis, can be associated or experienced by people with PA. I'm seeing the doctor on the 7th, and planned to ask, but was wondering if anyone had experienced this? I can't think of any other cause. Hi , My PA started with and extreme form of conjunctivitis...needed steroids to clear it up. I had that gritty feeling, but also impaired vision. I would get to an opthamologist quickly, one that specializes in autoimmune related disorders. The other thing that we are all prone to is Sjogrens, when your eyes get very, very dry. Guest guest Posted June 1, 2009 Report Share Posted June 1, 2009 No, there's really nothing to do for her except put her back on prednisone which everyone is hesitant to do unless it's REALLY necessary. Prednisone changes her personality from sunny and sweet to aggressive and hostile. It's not good. Better than eye and joint damage of course.
