Guest guest Posted July 14, 2005 Report Share Posted July 14, 2005 I did it! I got my doc to order all my lab work. It's 3 weeks post explant but it still might show some things. I went in to my GP today to ask her about my incisions. I wanted to make sure that they were healing properly. Then the way that I got her to order the tests was I told her that my surgeon suggested that I have my blood tested for mercury, platinum, ANA, thyroid, and an overall workup. I couldn't believe it, but she ordered all of it and I should have the results next week. Actually she told me that if I had come to her with my complaints before she would have done tests on me. I explained to her that 10 years ago in California none of my doctors would test me, only push pills, so I stopped complaining about all of my problems. I let her know that it wasn't because of her, it was just from my past experiences. I don't know what to expect from the results since it is 3 weeks post-op, but I am sure they will show something.
