Guest guest
A thread, in a group like ours, is a series of related postings on a subject (the original and all the replies). When a person picks a thread, he/she will read all the related posts at one time, then go to another grouping. Hope this helps. EJ Fayetteville Comm ---Original Message--- From: ima911lady@... Toni, what does that mean? Pick a thread? I am not familiar with that verbiage. thanks Janelle Pima County Sheriff Dept Tucson, Az =^..^= From: EJ Stinneford City of Fayetteville Communications
Guest guest
Janelle, >ok that explains that part.. now, How do i do this? Please excuse the amateur computer operator! < Ok.. this seems a good time to explain the subject line... If someone sends a message to the list concerning " Center Staffing " that becomes the " thread " .... If you are replying to that message... " Center Staffing " should be in the subject line... That way anyone interested in " Center Staffing " can look through his/her email... and open those with " Center Staffing " in the subject line. In this particular case... I'm sending all messages with " Center Staffing " to a special folder... Going to save them for future use.... I read most of my mail... but occasionally a threat will start in which I have no interest.. I can look through my email and if I see messages with that " thread " in the subject line.... I can delete them... and not have to open them... just a time saver. Make sense? Weintraut

Guest guest
The easiest way to pick a thread and go with it--I use Outlook Express, which makes it really easy. Up at the top of the inbox are bars labeled from, subject, and date. Whichever way you want the e-mails sorted, click on that bar and it will sort them that way. So if you click on the " subject " bar, all the e-mails with the same subject will be together and you can read them in order! Hope this helps!
