Hi,

I had my implants for 8 years. I became totally disabled about 4 years later but showed signs well before that. I was a workaholic and just kept pushing myself. I worked long hours. Sometimes going in at 8am and leaving at 2am but I LOVED it! Anyway, because of this I was very tired and had some other really weird symptoms. I think that they probably started about a year and a half after implant. My memory just started to become worse and worse. It was so bad toward the end that I forgot simple commands that I had entered everyday. I was starting to think that I was going crazy. I just shook it off and thought that it was because I was getting older. Although I was only about 38. I also started noticing that when getting out of a chair in work my joints seemed to be stiff. I also ignored that and thought that I was sitting too long. I just kept making excuses for what was happening to my

body. I went through a period where I was limping. I couldn't walk without that limp. My boss told me to get out of here and go to the doctor. I remember laughing and just told him that he was working me too hard. I just kept pushing and pushing until one day (9-6-01), I literally collapsed. I haven't worked since. I had my implant surgery on 5-3-96. My big mistake, ignoring my body!

I went through 2 years of testing and running to all kinds of doctors. I was diagnosed with fibro and CFIDS along with peripheral neuropathy and EB. About 6 months prior to explant, the tips of my fingers started to tingle and then it was my entire hands. I wasn't able to walk from the couch to the kitchen without being out of breath. It sounded as though I had just run a marathon. I was also sleeping 20 hours a day gained 70 pounds and literally thought that I would die. Because of my work history, there was no reason for me to believe that I collapsed because I worked my body too hard. That is what all the doctors told me and I believed them.

As soon as I had the explant, the first symptom to disappear was the tingling in my hands. It was almost immediate. I've come a long way from where I had been but still have quite a fight ahead of me.

Hope this helps, it might be more information than you needed but I always say better too much than not enough! :)

My goal is to convince you that your implants are making you sick and you need to get them out asap. I really wish I had known then what I know now.

well it all started with my left hand, my finger tips on my thumb, index and middle finger started feeling tingly and numb, then it went up my whole arm. so i went to the doctors and they did some tests and they concluded that i have carpal tunnel, but since then my left leg feels like my arm does, just not as bad and a little on my right toes (numbness and tingly feeling) i am also having shortness of breath and i can't talk loud i get out of breath. so now they are going to send me to a neuologist? took more blood tests...etc... i just don't know what to do or think? i feel so drained and tired > > i was wondering when everyone started showing symptoms that > something > > was wrong? i have had my saline implants for over a yr nowOpinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals.
