Guest guest
Hi Kam, Yeah, you know I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking about Janie's experience with upper her Armour - she indicated she had palps, but they eventually went away. I don't think one day on 2 grains was long enough for me to tell. I do feel okay on 1 1/2 grains of Armour, but I have some symptoms still, so that is why I keep thinking about upping my dose. This is a good idea - I should up my dose by 1/4 of a grain rather than 1/2 a grain. Thanks for you input. I'm not sure where my Frees are right now. I got so frustrated with my PA (she told me I was hyper and made me decrease my dose and I had a rough several months - then I told her I felt crumby and she reluctantly let me go back to 1 grain - then I upped my dose to 1 1/2 grains on my own because I still felt crumby). My Frees weren't so great on my last labs, but that is because I was under dosed (thank goodness to my PA). My TSH was 4.52 (0.4 - 5.5) way too high for my liking, my Free T4 was below the " normal range " at 0.7 (0.8 - 1.8), and my Free T3 was 290 (230 - 420), which was better than my prior Free T3, which was 269. At the time my PA told me I was " hyper " , my TSH was at 0.28 (0.4 - 5.5), (I wasn't savvy enough at that time to know to test my Frees) and I felt pretty darn good at the time (January 2003). So, since I am feeling better, I assume my Free T3 is upper higher and hopefully my TSH is decreasing. I've decided to go by how I am feeling rather than looking at these lab numbers. Anway, thanks Kam. I think I will try increasing my dose by a 1/4 of grain and keep trying it for a week or so. I really do think I need more T3. Are your free T3 and free T4 both in the upper part of the > normal range? > Kam >
