Guest guest
Hi I didnt have time to get the information on how to send the implants to dr blais before i explanted yesterday, does anyone know if they need to be refridgerated until i ship them? Also i have the address should i just send them now and give him a call monday to let him know Who i am and so on? Approximately how much does it cost? Appreciate any info. Also, are the drains supposed to leak a little blood outside of the tube, its just a little, im not saturated or anything.
Guest guest
yes - I agree with Beth - Dr. Blais has very specific instructions which must be followed or they will be refused into Canada.... I wouldn't refrigerate either 0- remember they ewre in a 98 degree body.... don't leave them in your garage or car or anything that gets hot though..... it may mess up the results. Trust me - lots of stuff you can't see...... mine had 12 different organisms growing inside them. Call Dr. Blais and he will tell you what to do - I would call your doc on the other problems.... I don't think I had any bleeding either thru my stitches... good luck!!! shari
Guest guest
No, they don't need to be refrigerated. If they have been put into a container DO NOT open it. Dr. Blais has specific instructions on how to ship them and what to put on the outside of the box. He told me exactly what to do and how to ship. I think you should give him a call. I didn't have any bleeding. I don't want to answer that question. I would call your doctor. I'm sure it isn't anything to worry about but I'd be safe and give the PS a call.auw_bree <auw_bree@...> wrote: Hi I didnt have time to get the information on how to send the implants to dr blais before i explanted yesterday, does anyone know if they need to be refridgerated until i ship them? Guest guest
The tubes can be expected to drain a bloody, watery liquid . . . If there's just a little bleeding around the tubes, where they go in, I wouldn't be concerned though. .. If they start bleeding signficantly, call your doctor! You do need to get instructions on shipping your implants before sending them. . . I understand refrigerating them is not necessary. Guest guest
Yeah there is just a little blood. But i was wondering, i cant see much of any mold from the outsid of the container. By that i mean green or black fungus. Could there be other stuff not detectable by the human eye tha dr. blais could find. sorry about teh spelling still on the pain meds. - In , Rogene S <saxony01@y...> wrote: > The tubes can be expected to drain a bloody, watery > liquid . . . Guest guest
Hi, Mine were very clear. Actually I was quite surprised but when the report came back, the report showed that there were all kinds of bacteria growing inside those damn things. Luckily nothing leaked out but I became sick from abscesses, many, many abscesses growing within the capsule. I think that it is important that you send the capsule off to Dr. Blais also. They are normally sent to pathology first. Mine were not. But I would ask for the capsules so that Dr. Blais can also examine them. He also found a malignant type tumor in my capsule. I don't want to scare you but you need to know exactly what you are dealing with. I haven't heard anyone on this site report the abscesses that I had. Most, that I know of had the bacteria that leaked into their body and/or had a reaction to the implant itself.auw_bree <auw_bree@...> wrote: Yeah there is just a little blood. Guest guest
Welcome . . . I'm sorry you need the group, but glad you're here. I'm one of the old-timers who had the early (1978) silicone gel implants. I began having multiple chemical sensitivity problems within months. . . It went downhill from there. After sixteen years, I couldn't do the simplest job right and lost my job. . . I hurt, was taking multiple medications - none of which I think were helping! I was just afraid that, if I didn't take the medication, I would be even sicker! I lost most the hearing in one ear (not uncommon among the silicone gel women), developed Fibromyalgia, thyroid goiters, localized scleroderma, peripheral neuropathy, spontaneous choking, dry eyes (torn corneas) . . . in short, I knew I was dying. I just didn't know why. It's been a slow climb for me. . . I had no concept of detoxing when I had my implants removed. The longer you have silicone gel implants, the more difficult it is to recover. But life is good again! . . . Having my implants removed was the single best decision I've ever made! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Microrganisms are undetectable with the human eye. It takes a lot of them to be visible! Dr. Blais will use high tech equipment to identify any organisms in your implants. Rogene --- auw_bree <auw_bree@...> wrote: > Yeah there is just a little blood. Guest guest
Hi (I hope that is your name - got it off your address) I had my implants almost 7 years to the day -- they have been removed for a little over 2 years. I had Mentor Textured implants 250cc under the muscle. I needed 2 add'l surgeries due to complications with he implants then the final removal made 4. As far as Symptoms..... they get very detailed on my webpage www.BreastImplantAwareness.org/shari.htm but here are a few Started with severe headaches and neck and back pain, forgetfulness, joint and muscle pain, morning stiffness, depression, anxiety, numbness in extremities and swelling, etc. There is a lot more info on the page along with some very good links to Dr.'s testimonies as well as other sick women's pages and stories. I wish you the best and hopr you can get your explant soon - the sooner the better, but make sure you get it done the right way!! that is very important. some docs do not care and remove them in a way that may make you more sick.... like my implants for example..... They were full of mold when they were removed - one of them part black. If I had gone to the wrong doc that decided to deflate them before removal all that mold would have had a possibility to be released into my body and that could have killed me considering there was Staph and black mold found. Also - make SURE you keep your implants - they are your and you paid for them. A lot of docs will try to make up weird excuses as to why they need them back but do not it... it could ruin your chances of having them analyzed by an independent as well as any possible legal ramifications you may have will be gone as you will have to sign a release. Good luck and keep in touch!!! shari
Guest guest
it all depends on how busy he is... when I sent mine he was rather swamped and it took me about 6 weeks... It was still worth waiting and every penny I paid though!!! I love that man love shari

Guest guest
, I saw one message where it took Dr. Blais six weeks to get a report out . . . I don't know if that's still the amount of time it takes or not. You could try calling him. I'm assuming you meant that you were one month AFTER explant. Are you doing any detoxing? . . . Virtually all women who have had implants benefit from an antifungal program. . . That includes diet management! Having implants removed can stir things up . . . but most of the women have reported feeling better shortly after explant. Company just drove up, so I need to run . . . Get back with me later and we can talk about what you might do to start feeling better soon! Guest guest
Shirley, It's hard to believe that, after all these years, they still haven't studied the SICK women to find out why we got sick? Could it be they don't want to know? Thank God Deb Pettitt is starting a study! Anyone who isn't explanted yet should check with her! dpettitt@... Guest guest
I agree with Lynda - It was a push to get mine in six weeks.... just be patient with him. There are not many men out there with his talents let alone the knowledge about implants he has to do this kind of work - probably nobody has his experience so it is well worth the wait no matter how frustrating it may be...... For example: I waited six weeks and was worried, stressed, etc., but his report won me my appeal with my insurance company (along w/ some work from my doc) so for me it ended up being worth thousands of my dollars back that I really needed to survive that were paid for my surgery. You see, his report was sooooo complling on how nasty my implants were my insurance co agreed with his - how often does an ins company do that?? In my opinion it was worth every bit of money I paid that man as well as how long I had to wait to get that and find the truth. I still thank him to this day and it has been 2 years!! shari
Guest guest
hi heather, my name is toni I had my implants about 6 years my first symptom was a never ending fatigue. as the years went on I just became sicker and sicker flu like symptoms hair loss depression constant virual infections and all of my blood work up's were perfectly normal. I jokingly called it stump the doc. it was not untill i was completly bed ridden that my sister in law saw one of the shows on mtv and called to tell us about what she had seen. I consulted with all of my various docs with the general consensus being that there was no possible way that my implants were making me sick. My husband and I decided to have them removed in bloc and I was feeling like a new wom,an withen a few weeks. My lab reports show that I was having a severe immune reaction to them. Getting them taken out was the best descion I ever made. letting that ps talk me into the damn thing was the worst. all i needed was a lift so I am out $13,000.00 and many years of my life. It just hit me the other day how much of my life is gone never to be returned to me. I feel as if I were in a coma all of that time and missed so much and woke up old. Well on the cheerier side every one who met me while I had them in just love my "new personality". Good luck and don't worry about making a bad descision. get them out right away and start living your life again.
