Guest guest
How can almost ALL of us have the same symptoms and ALL of us have the implants, but yet the doctors think we dont know what we are talking about??? It aggravates me very much! Thank goodness there are some doctors that do understand what we are going through......Dianeglory2glory1401 <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: For those of you who didn't get to see Colleen's story on MTV, you can read her story here:http://www.poisonedbeauty.com/my%20story.htmlColleen, are you still with us?How are you?PattyDiane
Guest guest
. . . Welcome! I've met Colleen in person . . . She's a lovely lady who is still struggling to get better. A study is just beginning . . . Sick Silicone Syndrome Study (SSSS) . . . contact Deb Pettitt, dpettitt@.... She will send you a kit for specimens. There is no charge. This will not give you immediate results since the purpose of the study is to find out why women are getting sick because of their implants. . . But it may give you the basis for a future law suit. As to getting tested to confirm that your implants are making you ill, as far as I know there are no definitive tests. The only way you will know for sure is to have your implants out and see if you get better. ly I don't know of any women who haven't gotten better, so it appears there is a strong correlation between implants and these symptoms. Whether you get completely well will depend on a number of factors. Including on how long you've had your implants, the bacteria inside, the surgery being done properly, detoxing, your immune system, etc. etc. If you have any questions, ask away. We have a lot of wonderful women here who want to help. Also, check our archives by clicking on the first link below. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Dr. Shanklin in Memphis does/did test for silicone sensitivity. For some reason, I think he's retired, or retiring. I don't know. This is the webpage I found for him. It should be easy enough to find out. http://www.utmem.edu/pathology/Faculty%20pages/shanklin,doug%20web%20page.htm Rogene
