20/20 hindsight & 'inklings'/first symptoms I now recognize

Hello friends,

I just had to take the sheets off the bed to wash, not planned, just

think my dh got something icky on the sheet, don't wanna know what it

is...at least it didn't smell, so??? Anyway, as I lift the medium

weight comforter and hurt, and as I pull the fitted sheet off and

hurt and as I shook the pillows out and hurt I had a flash back....

And thought i'd start a 20/20 hindsight and inklings thread:

(inklings (sp?) as in I had an inkling suspicion something was

wrong/looking back first signs of illness)

When:

i'd get into bed and pulling a medium sized comforter up from hip to

shoulder HURT my arms, I almost felt I didn't have the strength to do

it

my right shoulder got so painful from writing and keypunching(CPA tax

seasons) that I constantly had a hot pack on it, at work or home

and because of pain in shoulder and arm, my handwriting, which had to

be legible and neat became loose and sloppy and even I couldn't read

some of my writing especially on internal/non-client papers like my

time records.

I couldn't sleep with out a fan on so I could tell I was

breathing...ok that one was later and a pretty big inkling, but I

live in AZ....and I was hot and thirsty all the time.

My lower back ribcage felt as if it was going to sieze and I wouldn't

be able to take another step, from just walking 1/2 - a block--I

blamed previous lower back injuries and loose abdominal muscles (I

was slightly over weight then, now I'm really overweight)

Just hours after a massage, I was hurting again.....

Well that's a start.....if you wanna pick up here and share, it might

help our newbies with an 'aHa', maybe help some of us to know we are

not crazy.......

Hugs, Judy in AZ:)

Judy,

That really struck a cord with me. That is exactly how it started with me. And with being in Arizona myself I know about the fan for breathing and the ach in the lower back. I write poems and it was just suggested I write about my pain. Then I read your letter, if you don't mind I would like to use some of this in my writing.

Take care friend,

Norene

I'd be honored, Norene, send me a copy??

I think this could really be helpful for us

old-timers to look back and bring up these

'aha!'s & share w/ newbies and each other.

btw a symptom not often mentioned but very real:

We should start a " does anyone else??.... " thread:

In fact I will, run check it out...

Hugs, Judy in AZ (to NOR, I'm at arrowhead ranch, you??)

I weigh 420 lbs.and its come on quickly from meds and my diminishing ability to exercise.

I always have a fan,air cleaner and humidifier going the sound comforts me and reduces allergens and dry air.I use a CPAP while sleeping it insures I don't stop breathing you might want to go to a sleep clinic sleep apnea can aggravate Fibro

You're not crazy your have Fibro and it has symptoms we probably never figure out.

Judy,

First of I am in at 22nd and Columbus. Where is Arrowhead Ranch? Thank you very much for allowing me to use it. It is going to take a while to write, but I will for sure share it with all.

Wish all the best,

Norene
