Guest guest
I thought it was totally behind me, but last night I went into a full-blown major panic attack. Thinking back on it now though, I think even a person without anxiety disorder may have panicked in my situation. We took the kids to a fireworks show. It was the 25th anniversary of Columbus, Ohio's Red White and Boom, so there was a crowd of about 400,000. I was perfectly fine throughout the entire evening until the show was over. We sat on a big blanket and played card games and relaxed until the show began. Unfortunately we didn't bring enough food from home and ended up eating restaurant food, meatball sandwiches, UGH! That did NOT sit well after detoxing and pure organics all week. Then when it ended and we stood up to leave, I felt that familiar gush of the onset of a period. Of course I was totally unprepared! I didn't even know I was expecting it! I can usually tell because I am sick first, but feeling fantastic this week took my mind off of it completely. So there I was in the middle of 400,000 people bleeding through my pants and thinking about how we're gonna make it to the car that was parked a mile away. We grabbed the kids, who were luckily awake, and walked really fast! But that didn't matter. Our car was in a parking lot that was literally not moving. We sat in the car for over 30 minutes without moving an inch. The kids were whining, my bladder was about to burst, people were squatting by their cars to pee, but I couldn't do that because of the period. After about 30 minutes of this it was all over for me. My entire body began shaking and I felt nauseous and achy. I was out of my mind with that horrible trapped feeling, only this time we were actually physically trapped! Once we got moving and my husband was able to get me to a bathroom I was better, but I ended up feeling pretty sick until after we got home. So I've learned my lesson, I will NEVER go to the big fireworks shows like that again! Especially not after having major surgery only 9 days prior.
