Guest guest
Hi beth. Yes I was that sick for about 9 months. But that was 8 years ago. The BRATT diet is usually a very temporary diet for people who are vomiting or having severe diarhea issues. I was doing both at that time. I was better for several years, but then since the birth of my daughter 3 years ago the chronic diarhea plagued me again. I survived on Zantac and Immodium almost daily. Sucks doesn't it?!! And yet they still keep making money off of it. hugs, kristen
Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for your condolences. This pregnancy is very nerve-wracking and emotional but I am doing everything possible to ensure a good outcome. I have found wonderful Dr's (stillbirth prevention experts) this time around. Boy, do I hate learning the hard way! I have started sharing some of the things that I have learned about vaccinations with my dh and he stated that he had a severe allergic reaction to the DPT shot as a baby. To be honest, I have no idea what I have been vaccinated against. It sure makes me curious if whatever I was given is connected to some of my health problems over the years. It's funny, even before I knew about the dangers of vaccinations, I never once got a flu shot, because I have known too many people who have gotten ill after getting one. My OB's always tried to convince me to get one during pregnancy but I wouldn't budge. I look forward to learning as much as I can here! Guest guest
Hi and welcome to you and everyone else new... I tapered off of Xanax while starting on Lexapro after being on X for many years and a large dose...my fear was of withdrawal and because I had a backup (psychiatrist helped me and lexapro) I experienced no withdrawals at all. Lexapro has been good to me and I was hesitant to try a new medication as well, but am very grateful that I did. I gained some weight on it but lost half of it, the other half, I'm told is not necessary to lose as I'm small too and usually underweight. Pants still fit so not worried ). Side effects were probably just about all of them, lightheadedness, tired all the time, yawning constantly (and with TMJ not a pleasant thing to be doing all the time), nausea, headaches, nightmares, blah blah, but the depression/anxiety/panic all went away almost immediately and no more X. No more side effects either - am feeling terrific most of the time, but I still have my " unhappy " days or " do nothing " days and that's ok too, since I know I'm human and don't want to feel like a robot anyway. Those " days " are a lot fewer and far between then they used to by a lot and that's a miracle. Good Luck tori
Guest guest
Thanks for the info! Do you think it would safe to start the L after I am off the K? I just want to start fresh. I havent been on the K very long, 3 weeks max, but I want off period! I know this is an addictive drug and heard that L is not as addictive when getting off. I suffer from panic/anxiety as well. How much weight did you gain? and in what timeframe? torifstori <torifstori@...> wrote: Hi and welcome to you and everyone else new... Well kinnda new anyway. I have been lurking around for about a week reading everyones posts. So I finally decided it was my time to tell a bit about myself. Hi , A late welcome to the group. I'm sorry that you are having such a hard time of it just now. I hope things can improve for you. It will be a lot of added stress on you with the financial problems on top of your various health issues. I am fortunate in that I live in Scotland and don't have to pay very much for our meds. In fact I don't even have to pay the prescription fee for Enbrel. Hopefully if you try what Kathy suggested you might get any meds you need at a fraction of the cost. I hope you qualify ok for that and if you can get on to a medication that works, maybe other things will start to improve too. Good luck,
