Enmeshment

Ok,

I had another revelation today, I am also realizing that this church thing

might just be a bad case of enmeshment. Is this possible for one party to

attempt enmeshement even if the other party refuses. One of those she's alwasy

tried to hand over her problems as mine and I've constantly said no, I've got

these others nothing related to yours. (IE when she called my aunt telling me I

had her problem, her trying to enmesh me in her problem) Now this time I'm

wondering since that didn't work she thinks that because I'm Catholic she'll be

little miss Catholic all of the sudden to try to enmesh herself with me. Can

this be? Enmeshment without a cooperator. An attatchment figure gone NC so

it's driving her into mental hospitals? Is it possible?

If I'm correct, I might find another church to go to this week as it's Easter

and if she's at all nutty it's going to be then since I won't deal with her on

any other day why start on holidays.

I think it is totally possible for a BPD to work at enmeshment

without a cooperator. From the BP's perspective, they don't need a

cooperator. They just 'think' other people are an extension of

themselves. It doesn't make any difference if we cooperate or not.
