Guest guest
ACT Boot Camp? Professionals do have get-togethers and conferences for various purposes always important. But how about clients? How would a residential course be of assistance? You could have talks from professionals on the proper use of the therapy. Mindfulness exercises. Workshops. People sharing testimonies on how the therapy has helped them. Other events could be slotted in to improve our grasp of the therapy and help us to use it more effectively. Where could such an event being held? Well in the US there are summer camps which are vacant in the fall perhaps they would be suitable though there may be other facilities even better. There is only one other group that does this sort of thing which is Grow in Australia. Funding for such a thing would be an issue. As it is really a form of intensive therapy health insurance companies might subsidize attendance. The lottery might contribute as it might other charitable foundations. Many man-hours are lost to production because of depression and anxiety so employers organizations might like to donate. In the UK such a venture would attract government funding as it would be seen as contributing to keeping people out of hospital which in itself is very expensive and paid for by the state. Such funding would be necessary to subsidize attendance making what attendees might have to pay really affordable. How do people feel about this? Do they think such an option would be helpful to recovery? In connection with this I was thinking about therapy centers very much like this where people could go for a couple of weeks intensive therapy. Francis.
