Sorry you have a doc that is scared of E too. nne nne, I use WIP, OOE also.......was getting about 400 with the 18mgs. Then I added OOTestosterone. I cut back on my OOE and yet my #'s went up to 777. I was only using 8mgs. at that time.....so this week I dropped the OOTest. to see if I was really converting that much OOT to OOE..........will keep you all posted. Funny I was only using 0.4mgs.......powerful stuff eah!!!!!!!!

Several of us women who have been using 00/E have thought the same thing, that you need more of the OO than the cream. And like you said you are taking many other substances that are blocking E (could you share what those are?)and at least you know what makes you feel good and your numbers to support it! Bravo! Guest guest
Lana...aldactone could block E, by raising SHBG. SHBG is a protein that binds all the hormones. It's great for people with high T...cuz the higher SHBG the less of T is bio-available...but it also binds some E.Lana wrote: nne, I am curious as well, if you don't mind, what are/were you taking that blocked the E? Guest guest
I also think the P blocks the DHT. I have low Free T though. That is the reason for the 10 mg T. nne nne, have you had your SHBG cked......I am wondering about the low Free Test, seems when I get my T3 up my SHBG goes up too, may just be a coincidence. I do take oral thyroid? I am doing no P, and just the 0.4mgs OOTest, seem to go to DHT? Hairs on my chin were poppin up,oily scalp, hair shedding? I tried to up my E but still seemed to be happening? Still tring to figure this out. I know higher SHBG also sucks up all your hormones, E included. So maye it was blocked E, NOT the little bit of OOTest.????? Hard to know, just throwing this out in case anyone can make sense of it. I stopped it for a bit and will retest in march. Good to see you on the posts and that you're doing so well, HUGS,
Guest guest
I also think the armour thyroid I use depletes all of my hormones. nne nne, seems a healthy happy thyroid likes to be fed:)) I wonder if that is why the studies that link women on thyroid replacement having a higher risk for BC? BET they didn't get enough E or other hormones to feed that hungry thyroid, OR they never did get enough thyroid, but just enough to drain their other failing hormones....so all hormones were depleted. OR, LOL......LOW E makes for weak thyroids.....and just doing a dash of synthroid don't cut it, LOL. To me seems there is a pattern, low thyroid seems to strike in low E times, puberty (when trying to find balance), pregnancy (when E drops and P pops up), menopause, oh and.....times of E sucking stress, surgery ect.. This is just my observation or feeling on this,
Guest guest
Carolyn posted a list back in November that clued me into exactly how many drugs and things that blocked the E. Unfortunately I misplaced it, but from what I can remember, it was most of the things I was taking. Armour thyroid, cortef, GH, T, P, sleeping meds, things like that. I do find the thyroid and E butt heads. When I take it, I can feel the E fly right out, same with cortef. I tried to stop the offenders, but I need them too. Upping the E was the only solution. Since my numbers are not high, I just use it up apparently. It is hard to get over the fear at times. Actually fear is a sign I need more E.. LOL So I am using 18mgOOE, 10mgOOT, 75mgOOP I started the P at 200, then 100, now 75. I am at the 3 month point for the OOP, so I am watching to see when it is time to reduce. I used to cycle the P, and now I am going for no periods. I also used to use sublingual P. I like the OOP much better. My painful fibrous breasts have cleared up for the first time in my life since changing the P form. I can even jump on a trampoline and they don’t hurt. Something I never could have imagined. As far as the hair loss, I have quite a bit of thinning in the temples. It is finally showing some good growth with the higher E. I also think the P blocks the DHT. I have low Free T though. That is the reason for the 10 mg T. nne I am curious as well, if you don't mind, what are/were you taking that blocked the E? Are you taking Androgen blockers for hair loss? I have met others who have to " up " the E for that reason... Lana
Guest guest
this is interesting! I have just gone to 18mg E, and now my need for T is going down. I was on 12mgT, now 10 is giving my oily skin. I had forgotten the T eventually goes to E. You are absolutely right. Guest guest
What's T3? T3 is the active thyroid hormone, T4 gets converted into T3:))
Guest guest
nne, i've read that E builds up T's receptors. Is this what you mean by T goes to E?nne Skoog wrote: this is interesting!
