Guest guest
I was in the Nortridge quake. The epicenter was 1 mile from my apartment. I had my implant surgery just a few weeks after the big quake. I was one of the first to go under the knife after that. When I suffered multiple unusual symptoms immediately, we all attributed it to post traumatic stress from living through the quake. Now I look back with a better understanding of what happened to me! Shari, it must be very hard to live with this added stress! Take care of yourself! > Sue > > well - it is a little scary but have some pretty neat home footage to show my kids when we move out of here eventually.... nature is a crazy thing. This storm was nothing for us - last year was a nightmare - three in three weeks. I literally thought in one there we were gonna lose out home it was blowing so hard. Lukily it looks like we picked a good builder!! we lost quite a few shingles and some gutters but that was all - and out little oak tree. that was sad. anyways being in 100 mhp plus winds gets a little crazy - especially w/ a toddler. no electricity and sound of it is the worse part. very eerie to hears winds go by like that. > > anyways - this one is over - getting ready for the next as I am sure it is around the corner - I HATE HURRICANE SEASON! I will enjoy the sun while I can!! > > love > shari > > Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Wow, ...you were brave...I don't think I would have felt very safe in any large building after that quake. However, we were all anxious for the implants. weren't we? So, in that case I probably would have. What hospital were you in? I know that when I finally drove to Riverside, CA, everything was business as usual and my friends thought that I was exaggerating the quake and the damage.
