I was in the Nortridge quake. The epicenter was 1 mile from my

apartment. I had my implant surgery just a few weeks after the big

quake. I was one of the first to go under the knife after that. When

I suffered multiple unusual symptoms immediately, we all attributed

it to post traumatic stress from living through the quake. Now I

look back with a better understanding of what happened to me!

Shari, it must be very hard to live with this added stress! Take

care of yourself!

to show my kids when we move out of here eventually.... nature is a

crazy thing. This storm was nothing for us - last year was a

nightmare - three in three weeks. I literally thought in one there

we were gonna lose out home it was blowing so hard. Lukily it looks

like we picked a good builder!! we lost quite a few shingles and

some gutters but that was all - and out little oak tree. that was

sad. anyways being in 100 mhp plus winds gets a little crazy -

especially w/ a toddler. no electricity and sound of it is the worse

part. very eerie to hears winds go by like that.

Wow, ...you were brave...I don't think I would have felt very safe in any large building after that quake. However, we were all anxious for the implants. weren't we? So, in that case I probably would have. What hospital were you in?

I know that when I finally drove to Riverside, CA, everything was business as usual and my friends thought that I was exaggerating the quake and the damage.

Smiles, Shirley
