Hi Marcie :)

How lucky for you! I would definitely try it. I use SBX which is a

soil based organism too. It's been a big boost to my program. Start

slow though because you can get some die off from it.

What is the difference between teh primal defense and the fungal

defense. I am taking the primal def. now before surgery because i had

been on some antibiotics. Also can the primal defense give me yeast

infection like symptoms because it is killing off the bad bacteria?

Primal Defense won't give you a yeast infection. It

replaces beneficial organisms killed off by a

suppressed immune system or medications like

antibiotics and steroids.

The goal is to get the good organisms to colonize and

become self maintaining. . . This takes time! Eating

naturally fermented foods can help immensely!

Primal defense is a milder product. It contains hso bacteria from the

soil and all kinds of acidolphalus--sorry can't spell! Fungal defense

contains oregano, and olive leaf too and in my opinion, much

stronger. Those herbs kill alot of pathogens too. As far as giving

you a yeast infection as a herx symptom, I think it is possible

because it happens to me. I know it is crazy, but whenever I hit

these kind of supplements hard, I tend to get more vaginal yeast. And

it would make sense, because I have seen other symptoms increase as I

experienced a herx. However, many people experience just the opposite-

-just a lessening of all their symptoms. We are all different. Both

of those products are good. ARe you experiencing yeastinfection like

symptoms? Be very careful with your diet---reallycutting out sugar,

starches, grains. That should help too. When is your sugery

scheduled?

--- Thank you all for the information. I am gonna buy the fungal

defense for after the explant then. Its this friday, im really

starting to get nervous. Dr Huang has reassured me that they will

look fine afterwards, i guess either way if i can get healthy again

it will all be worth it. What cleanse should i start with

immediately after explant? The fungal defense i know but is there

anything else?

Start slowly. The fungal defense will be a good way to start with

change in diet and plenty of water. You may experience some yucky

feeling from the fungal defense as I have, but use it slowly and you

will be ok. After you do that you can start Primal defense and a liver

cleanse. If you do too much at once it can make you really ill.

Best of luck on Friday! You'll be happy with the results.

I'd suggest getting your diet in order if you haven't

already . . . It's quite an adjustment if you're a

convience food junky. Following a healthy diet is

HUGE!

Hi Anita,

I asked this same question a month or so back. Unfortunately Primal Defense

contains molasses and a form of dextrose which feed the yeast. I had 4

bottles of the stuff which I am using up and won't replace but I swear by it

as a digestive aid. Bee does not recommend it and I'd be willing to bet that

she suggests you drink the lemon and sea salt with meals as a digestive aid.

(How'd I do Bee?)

Hi Anita,

Bee has often recommended the Cabbage Rejuvelac as the best probiotic you

can use.

One of her past responses to the Primal Defense question:

" ==>Primal Defense is very expensive and I think that regular non-

dairy acidophilus/lactobacillus is just as effective because 95% of

the good bacteria in your intestines is lactobacilli. But cabbage

rejuvelac is even better and very inexpensive - the recipe is in my

main article or in the recipe files. "

I have no idea if you'd be able to travel with it or not but since you'll

be with relatives maybe they won't mind you making up a jar or two.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

However, Primal Defense is not required to be refrigerated.

==>Anita, you are better off just getting a plain non-dairy

acidophilus/lactobacillus probiotic at the health store per my

article. I wouldn't worry about a week being out of the fridge.

==>Shirley, you are doing great. Good for you. Probiotics like Primal

Defense, acidophilus are taken for a different reason than lemon and

sea salt drink, i.e. to implant good bacteria in the gut. But yes,

lemon and sea salt are great for digestion.

Bee,

I realized after I sent that message that I got my GOL products mixed up, I

am using up my Omega-zymes which is very different from the Primal Defense.

I do have a bottle of the PD hanging around though and as I read the label I

see it also contains dextrose and molasses too. That product did not agree

with me at all. It was way too strong.

(to Anita) Are you currently taking PD and if so do you get any side

effects?

Hi Shirley -

Thanks for your help.

No, I had taken it before and I had the formula BEFORE the added molasses etc.

I don't remember if the old formula was too strong or not, don't think it made a

big difference either way.

Thanks everyone for your advice on this -
