Guest guest
Hey folks, Different from other lists to which I belong, I find there is something missing from this list: camaraderie and social interaction and a sense of knowing each other. So often, people post heartfelt comments--even whole paragraphs--and no one acknowledges what they have written. The most helpful and coherent replies regarding ACT come from the authors and therapists who contribute to this list. If we have a vehicle in which to express ourselves apart from ACT, I wonder if it would help us to get to know each other and exchange thoughts/ideas more freely on the main list? On some lists to which I belong, there is a list dedicated to the subject, and there is a sister list on which any other topics can be discussed. Case in point: Tielchatter (posts limited to pet Cockatiels); and the sister group: TielFriends (on which anything can be discussed). I have friends on the sister list which go back 15 years. It could be about the latest movie you saw, what you feed your cats, etc. The purpose is to build community without having to directly address ACT per se. And it keeps the main list true to its purpose. What do you all think? ACT-Friends? Helena
