My thyroid has never gone back to normal, and I find it just gets worse

with the years so I have to take more Synthroid.

But, you will find, as time goes on, that many other things get better

after explant. Detoxing is so very important.

Most of the time an aspiration will do the trick, occasionally they have to

remove a problem, but it is so minor. I suspect they will just aspirate it.

Sandy,

Maybe you need to ask Dr. Melmed what the worst case

scenerio would be. . . If he has to operate.

Hopefully he won't. I would ask him about putting in a

drain again though . . . even if you have to remove it

yourself once it quits flowing. It's just a tug!

Sandy . . .

I don't think you will find many women here who would

suggest keeping breast implants if a woman has ANY

problem.

Regardless, you're thyroid really hasn't had time to

change. We have some ladies here who are really up on

thyroid problems . . . Let's see what they suggest

doing to get better.

Several of us (including me) have quit taking thyroid

medication. Thyroid problems are very common among us!

Sandy,

As far as I know, Patty, and I all stopped

taking thyroid meds. . .

I really wasn't thinking about stopping them . . .

just began to forget to take Synthroid . . . After a

while, I just stopped because I didn't see any

difference with, or with out the drug. IMHO, this is

God's way of telling me when it's time to let a

supplement or medication go.

My doctor continued to be surprised that my labs were

fine . . . She was very dubious when I told her I had

quit taking Synthroid . . . She said she'd just wait

to see the labs . . . They're always fine. They have

crept up a bit over time, but not enough to be alarmed

by any means! I have four goiter nodules that quit

growing after getting my implants removed.

Sandy,

I stopped taking most of my meds before explant. I was living in a different state when I became ill. All the doctors I saw put me on so many different meds that I just woke up one day and thought, this is crazy. I'm still sick and they aren't helping me in anyway. The only thing that I'm currently taking is klonopin. I have a terrible time sleeping even though I'm exhausted all the time. I'd like to take something along with the klonopin but all of the doctors here in Pennsylvania have turned me down.sandy <interart81@...> wrote:

Don't be hasty about getting off thyroid meds. It can affect your entire

system if your thyroid is low. I hate taking meds also.

Klonopin can be for many things, and is used to treat peripheral

neuropathy, restless leg syndrome, and other physical conditions. I think

many can take it for anxiety and psychological symptoms. It is a

benzodiazapine, like Valium.

It took me YEARS to get off almost all meds. I take

only Temazapam (15mg. to sleep) on a regular basis

now. . . .

But then, when I started, I didn't know anything about

detoxing or probiotics. I think I could improve much

faster with what I know now!

I took anti-inflammatories and antihistamines for

years before explant. . . Those went away pretty fast!

The antihistamines never were helping . . . I kept

taking them because I thought I'd be even sicker if I

didn't . . . I wasn't! It was MCS, not allergies.

Detoxing reduced the chemical sensitivities to almost

nothing.
