I have decided to remove my implants, but cannot decide on a plastice surgeon.

Initially, I

wanted to go to Dr, Feng but was turned off by their attitude. She did suggest

that I look up

Dr. Huang, Dr. Kolb or Dr. Melmed, as they would be much easier for me to travel

to. I am at

a loss for which doctor to pick and was wondering if you, or anyone else, could

help me

choose.

Thank You,

Kathleen

Where are you?

That would help.

Dr. Huang is probably the least expensive, and I would trust her

implicitly. Dr. Melmed is well-loved by women on this support

network. Dr. Kolb is also.

I sent my daughter to Dr. Huang, and hundreds (mabe at least a thousand)

women to Dr. Huang and have never gotten any negative feedback.

I'm curious to know what it was that turned you off to Dr. Feng. I

just had my surgery with her and it was a phenominal experince! They

were wonderful! Dr. Feng and Dr. Huang went to medical school

together, I am sure you will be in very good hands with Dr. Haung.

Kathleen,

Welcome to the group . . .

You should be happy with any one of these doctors . .

.. I'd suggest calling them and seeing what their pre

and post operative protocol is . . . That's probably

where you would find a difference, unless it's the

cost . . . I don't know what they charge.

Regardless of who you use, you want a surgeon who will

commit to removing your implants " en bloc " if at all

possible. That means removing the capsule with the

implant still inside. And that the doctor plans to use

drains to avoid a fluid buildup.

We have a list of recommended doctors you can access

by clicking on the first link below.

If you have any questions about detoxing, let us know.

We've found that most women need to do some detoxing

to speed their recovery along.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

I have had just a few complaints about office staff of almost every plastic

surgeon, so I wonder.................

Dr. Huang and Dr. Feng have both done conferences for me and other support

groups, and I trust them both. Dr. Huang has probably the best bedside

manner of any plastic surgeon I know.

All 4 of the surgeons Kathleen mentioned do the procedure en bloc as a

matter of practice, I believe.

As a curiosity, what does Dr. Melmed charge for removal. I have never heard.

I had cancer, had an implant, it ruptured, he dumped my chest full of

silicone, replaced it, did not tell me it was ruptured. I went downhill

really fast. I had the second one removed a year later. I was sooooo

ill. The second one was not ruptured, but the saline portion had fungus

already and the silicone portion had bled a lot of silicone. It was sagging.

I am really happy to have those toxic time bombs out of my body.

BTW, Huang is very reasonable, around $5000 and very good. I trusted

her with my daughter. She has before and after pictures and KK ston

really liked the quality of her work. KK ston is a nurse. I can tell

you she did a fabulous lift on my daughter, and she looks wonderful.

Lynda,

Are you referring to Dr. Melmed when you said " he " in your first

sentence?

If so, I would be so surprised!
