Guest guest
Ilena, One of the ladies here (Shari?) said her tongue turned black the morning after taking Pepto Bismal. I've had outstanding response from rinsing my mouth with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. I used a very small amount (1-2 teaspoons) once a day for four days. All signs of gum inflammation are gone! - I still have to get a deep cleaning though! I think my gums were inflammed by bacteria responding to some sweets I ate. Patty cautions that prolonged use can demineralize teeth though . . . This is not something to use as a daily habit. I would suggest that she try some Oil of Oregano too! Guest guest
Has she taken any diarrhea medicine lately, like Kaopectate? Immodium? Pepto Bismol? While in India, one of our team members suffered diarrhea and took lots of Immodium. He had that black tongue side effect, and thanks to SHARI, I was able to tell him what it was from. He was kinda freaking out! (Thanks Shari, for the first hand experience with that one...it came in handy half way across the world!) I have had pain in my pelvis not unlike pelic inflammation and have been very, very tired. > I don't feel pelvic pain today though for the first time in 10 days. +++Hi Cassie, It is obvious that your pelvic pain was " retracing " so that's good it has now passed. > > Last night I brushed my teeth and looked at my tongue and it was black. It's still black today. I brushed it but it doesn't come off. I google black tongue and people say you can get a black tongue from Pepto-bismol. But I have not had any of this stuff, nor anything that could stain my tongue. It is all black except for around the outer edge. > > I thought maybe it was somehow a detox of chemicals that have been kept in my body and they are coming out? > Ever heard of such a thing? > +++Yes I've heard of it, and it is very common when your body is healing and detoxifying itself, so you are correct that a black tongue is because of toxins coming out. This too shall pass as your body heals itself. You cannot brush it off, and healing will come from within mainly with proper nutrients. All the best, Bee
