Guest guest
, This is just a wild guess . . . But is it possible that your mouth rashes were related to taking/eating/drinking products that contained a considerable amount of silica in some form? I'm thinking that, if your implants sensitized you to silica, any additional amounts may have caused a flare. I remember my mouth getting very sore after having impressions made with a silicone compound. Guest guest
Generally these mouth rashes are viruses that are just opportunistic because of our suppressed immune systems. I know mine was a virus. Lynda At 09:49 AM 7/18/2005, you wrote: >, > >This is just a wild guess . . . Guest guest
I know it was always worse with things like Tomatoes and vinegar, but it was not a constant so I couldn't give it a definitive alergen. It happened too often I think for it to have been viral, but anythings possible. I'm just glad it appears to be gone! > > > > > I can't find it, but someone just recently posted > > > about tongue rashes > > > abd blotches being one of their symptoms. Guest guest
I actually had a black tongue when I woke up recently..... turns out it was from taking pepto bis the night before for heart burn! It was scary!!!! love shari
Guest guest
There are actually books you can borrow at the library or purchase that have pictures of tongues and what illness or disease is present to cause different problems. I had a white tongue once but it wasn’t yeast, it was heat in my body but I don’t recall what it was caused by. I was treated by an acupuncturist and it went away quickly. There were some really scary looking tongues in the book she showed me! Definitely interesting to look at if you are interested. Kenda I can't find it, but someone just recently posted about tongue rashes abd blotches being one of their symptoms. This was something that happened to me on a regular basis. I often thought it was food allergies, and would try to avoid certain foods. But honestly it happened so frequently that I couldn't avoid it altogether. It was so ugly and embrrassing, I didn't want anyone to see my tongue. It would have odd red and white swollen blotchy patches and swollen taste buds. Since explanting 4 weeks ago I haven't had a single outbreak. I just added this to my list of implant symptoms, since it seems to have been from them. Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Kenda, We've been missing you! . . . I hope you had a wonderful vacation! This reminds me of when I was seeing an acupucturinst! I wouldn't recommend this one! . . . She was telling me about all the herbs, etc. . . Said something about my tongue and the herbs I needed . . . So, I asked her if I could see her tongue . . . It was gray-green . . .. yucky, yucky, yucky . . . I didn't go back to her. I have heard that the appearance of the tongue can tell a lot about one's general health. . . But I've never had a doctor examine mine. The dentist does take a good look though! BTW, the discussion the other day was about cavities below the gum line . . . The dentist I'm seeing said that this is where the problems start in three out of four people. Their teeth are not cleaned properly allowing bacteria to finding a home below the gumline. .. . This causes decay and bone errosion. Something those with a compromised immune system needs to watch carefully. Guest guest
Hi Rogene! Thank you, we just got back from Seattle Saturday. We’ll be leaving again this Saturday for the mountains in Colorado and then my summer is over and back to real life. Seattle is gorgeous and anyone fortunate to live there is so lucky! I used to live in San Diego and it reminded me so much of it. A gray-green tongue has got to be bad news, unless it is from some horrible supplement! I always want to treat with a doctor that is healthy and lives what he preaches. That is part of why I like Dr. Leu so much, he emits good health. Would a Water-Pik help prevent cavities below the gum line? I had braces for 2 years and had them removed last summer. I became an avid Water-Pik user then. Even after completely brushing and flossing, food particles still came out with a Water-Pik. Kenda Kenda, We've been missing you! . . . I hope you had a wonderful vacation! Guest guest
I live in Greeley, a hop skip and jump from Rocky Mt. National Park. About 1 1/2 hour drive from Estes Park. From there you go up Trail Ridge Rd. to the highest continuous road (along a series of peaks) in the continental U.S. Gorgeous. Lynda At 02:07 PM 7/18/2005, you wrote: >Lucky you!! Guest guest
A water pic can help with dental care. . .although there is some debate about it. In my case, a dentist joined two crowns together, creating a pocket that started my problems. The only way to clean the pocket is with a water pic. The dentist I recently saw is by far the best I've ever seen - at least thus far in communicating! We'll see how it goes when I get the deep cleaning! Guest guest
- Speaking of tongues Yes they can speak volumes about our health!! NOt only the top but underneath. The bottom of my tongue shows big purple blotches. One md. I saw said that they could be connected to lyme disease. I also saw some scleroderma pics that looked similar. Also, heavy metals can cause this. My tongue before I went on the gluten free diet was glossy and red. NOw it is more pink, and the glossy edges have been replaced with the textured look of a healthy tongue. It is a shame doctors have gotten away from really looking at what our body is telling them and only relying on blood tests. The nails, our scent, our skin, hair, they all tell so much about what is going oninside of us. Hugs, kathy -- In , Rogene S <saxony01@y...> wrote: > Kenda, > > We've been missing you! . . . Guest guest
- Lynda How is your weather? are you having a drought too? High temps? I would love to visit Co. Which places would you recommend? We might yet come this summer if you don't think it is too hot and dry. I was hoping to either visit California or Colorado and now the summer kind of got away fromus and I was thinking it would be too hot. Guest guest
Kathy, How are you doing on that gluten free diet? I want to get on that, but we have so much going on all the time, I find it too hard to figure out what I shouldn't eat! Guest guest
Hi, No drought anymore, but hot and dry right now. 100 degrees currently in Greeley. Any mountain towns, but my son lives in S. CO in Crestone (near the Sangre de Cristo range, and it is at 8000 feet, a town of 600 people. Depends on whether you want peace and quiet, to hike and roam the mountains, or you like touristy stuff. I would stick to the mountains for cooler temps. Lynda At 02:31 PM 7/19/2005, you wrote: >- > >Lynda >How is your weather? are you having a drought too? High temps? I >would love to visit Co. Guest guest
- It is hard for me to stick to the diet as well as I should. Especially when I eat out as I have found that whenever I actually have the waitress check and see if what I thought was gluten free actually is, she comes back most of the time says it isn't. But I know that it is has to be a very minor amount. The major improvement is still in the headache area, and that is nice. I wish I had more improvements, but it may be that they are very subtle and it will become more apparent as time goes on. Have you started your watermelon fast yet? I really think that is something that sounds good to me right now! I think it is because I have had too much meat lately. I was really just loving salads, etc. then all of a sudden I gto really sick of them. And we had a couple of picnics with potato salad, baked beans, chips, etc. I know that is pretty junky and now I just kind of want it out of my system! It sure is hard to eat healthy at picnics, parties, etc! Guest guest
Kathy, I was going to start my watermelon fast today, but then halfway through the morning I realized that we will be celebrating a birthday in the family this week! Doesn't do me any good to start a detox diet and then break it with razzleberry pie! It's definitely hard to eat right when everyone is celebrating something. I'll be starting probably this weekend or Monday. Summer is a great time to do a detox diet with veggies and fruits, because there are so many yummy things in season. One of my favorites is watermelon! If you try it, let me know how it goes. You should do okay with watermelon...some people who are watching their glycemic index might want to do plain (no dressing) salads instead, but it is very cleansing and has all that glutathione, and of course, high water content too.
