Do you know if hilary is on the antibiotic therapy? I know many

people who are doing very well on it. One woman in particular was

at death's door---her whole body was hardened and her heart was

failing---and she went on minocin and clindamycin IV's. She

reversed her scleroderma and is doing well. All of her skin

reversed and other damage was stopped in its tracks. She is only

one of many who have done remarkably well. NOt everyone does. The

success rate is between 66% and 85%. I would highly recommend she

give it a try. It is also the least toxic thing she can do. People

not being fully helped by the antibiotic therapy are also having

success using the Marshall Protocol at the same time. I have

included a simplified description of what it is and how it helps

with autoimmune illness:WHAT IS THE MARSHALL PROTOCOL?

The Marshall Protocol was developed by Trevor Marshall, PhD, in 2002

to treat certain diseases that involve Th1 immune system

dysfunction. Dr. Marshall's papers describe how numerous Th1 health

conditions such as Sarcoidosis, Lyme disease, Chronic Fatigue

Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis are caused by

cell wall deficient pathogens of various species (mycoplasma,

borrelia, coccoid, L-form and others). These pathogens are able to

sequester themselves safely inside phagocytes (large white blood

cells in the body's immune system which are designed to engulf and

digest foreign invaders) instead of being " digested " (killed) by the

phagocytic cells that ingested them.

Detection of these pathogens is accomplished with two basic blood

tests of the D metabolites: 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin D and 25

hydroxyvitamin - D. If the level of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D in the

blood is elevated (above 38-45pg/ml), and/or the 25-hydroxyvitamin-D

depressed (below 20 ng/ml), a Th1 infection is likely to be present.

The Marshall Protocol consists of two steps. Step one involves

reducing the level of the active vitamin D metabolite that has been

elevated by the infection/inflammation. An essential part of this

effort is avoidance of sunlight and foods containing vitamin D such

as eggs, fish/fish oils, liver, milk and cereals fortified with

vitamin D.

A key part of this goal establishes a blockade of the inflammatory

hormone Angiotensin II with an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB),

Benicar (olmesartan medoxomil). Benicar is taken at triple or

quadruple the typical hypotensive dose in order to reduce

Angiotensin II levels to near zero and block the ability of the

pathogens to function.

The second protocol step is the introduction of carefully selected

antibiotics. After one week on Benicar, the patient begins an every-

other-day treatment with 25mg of the antibiotic minocycline. After

approximately 3 months, other antibiotics are added to the treatment

protocol. All the antibiotics are taken at low doses and extended

intervals, so that the plasma concentrations 'pulse' between each

dose.

Please see that hilary gets this info. Thanks
