Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. Sign up for Fantasy Football

Opinion by Consumer Advocate Tim Bolen

Monday, July 4th, 2005

" Big Pharma " won a major victory in Rome, Italy today. Vitamins and minerals,

for over-the-counter sale will be phased out, almost completely, in every

country on Planet Earth. The " German Model " of health care will now be the law

of the land - in every land.

Below is a press release from Diane JD of the National Health Freedom

Coalition, detailing the action. Diane is in Rome at the meeting.

Press Release - National Health Freedom Coalition: Codex Full Commission

adopts Codex Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements in final form

July 4, 2005, Rome Italy. by Diane JD.

Minutes ago the full Commission of Codex Alimentarius adopted in final form, the

Codex Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements. This adoption is the

Step 8 adoption, the final stage of adoption for the international Codex

guidelines. The Codex Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements guidelines are now

official and no longer in draft form.

The Commission, attended by over 85 of the 171 Codex countries, adopted the

guidelines by consensus method. There was brief discussion before adoption

taking in comments from a small number of countries and two NGOs.

Hi !

With all this Codex email going around (yours being the latest), I went to

Snopes.com (the urban legend site) to check it out. What I found was this:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/vitamins.asp

I didn't want to start the war to end all wars by posting this on the group

forum, as I can see that there are many who are VERY passionate in their

stances, no matter what they are. You, however, come across as very

meticulous and methodical in your research, so I was wondering as to your

reaction to what Snopes.com has to say about the whole 'Codex is going to

ban vitamins' thing? I tend to hang back and be skeptical of most things,

as I have found it to be the normally prudent way to be. I am keeping

quiet, but am very curious as to what you think? (If it is none of my

business, I apologize and please know that I did not mean to offend).

Dear a,

No apologies necessary!

Well, I'm not but will pipe up anyway.

I have wondered about Snopes for quite a bit now and I

can, without a doubt, now say that snopes is

unreliable.

I'm listening to a radio program right now about the

codex issue. The Dr. in Rome *at this moment* is Dr.

Rema Leebo and her website is

www.healthfreedomusa.org.

Please check out and sign the citizens petition that's

on that site. It has *legal* backing according to our

laws. This isn't one of those sheets of paper that

you sign and then somebody just throws them out.

NO ONE should *ever* rely on only one source.

Sorry if I'm coming out hard on this but this is the

second time this week that I've corrected someone on

false info from snopes.

Snopes has turned out to be the biggest hoax in my

opinion.
