Guest guest
, YEAH real excited! After last night, I just remembered part of why I left CA. I love them dearly, but man oh man, that screaming and arguing stuff makes my skin prickle and takes me back to a little girl. It makes my physically feel ill. My mom screeches like a parrot, like a macaw, and it penetrates my nerve endings, kind of like a lupus flare and inflammation does. When they are alone with me, seperately that is, it is ok, but together? NOPE! They say they will stay at a motel, I said that was not necessary. They said, you only have a ONE bedroom now ! Good choice I made.... lol... I said, no matter. Funny, I had a 3 bedroom , 2 bath apartment in fort collins. No one wanted to come. We move here, I said I would only get a one bedroom apartment if it was layed out just right and the square footage is what I wanted. These apartments are brand new with a lot of perks and toys, I love everything about them. I said , why should I pay for an extra room , just in case someone comes. Hell could freeze over first. I mean this apartment is like a house inside, and very much the size of a 2 bedroom easy. Eveything is oversized in it. Not to mention, it is 875.00 month, so why would we pay more just in case someone came? The thing is, I worry about them arguing here or out on the deck. It is very quiet here, there is no smoking allowed in the house. I smoke, but not in the house or the car. WHich means they will be outside a lot, or my daddio will be. He is a train. My mom will complain and go out there and it will all start. I first thought, wow! I could take them to Estes Park, garden of the gods, manitou springs, colorado city, my mom to the cherry creek and park meadows malls, my dad to the shooting range, etc.... Now? I am like will this happen or just be a wasted trip. Am I bothered sounding? Yeah, you betcha! As for your mom? tell her to just bring the food already made and ready to eat! LOL...... Or you can start stocking up in the pantry. I think it is cute. Some people are just to nervous about injections, so good that it does not bother you. Plus it gives them a chance to see and visit you as well. DOes she know how , or I mean if she had to, she is able to do the shots? Love ya, normi Normi >Your not excited about your parents coming out are you?? ~LOL~ Mom >brought me a can of Prego spagetti sauce yesterday for giving dad his >shot. She asked me what I wanted next week when it's time to do it >again! I take it she doesn't want to give them to him! I showed her >again how to do it but she doesn't want to. So I guess I'll be getting >free food every week! > > > > > >http://community.webtv.net/sandra504/TributetoSeptember > > > > " The LUPIES Store " Come check out our store... >http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies > > " The LUPIES Web Page " >http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html > > " The LUPIES online photo albums! Guest guest
Hi It is sure amazing how so called friends and family can act at times and can say some of the nastiest things. I know from experience as my ex sister-in-law has pulled the same type things as your's did. Then when she sees you see will stop to talk to you just like nothing happened. I let her run her mouth and do not get and will not get involved in her self-made problems again. She has turned out to be a 2 faced bitch and I found that out after being over there with here for 5 weeks and I have known her for 31 almost 32 years. I guess I really did not know her after all-- I have not been up here in so long-but it is amazing how many people know the last name and her first name and then start telling me all that she has done to alienate all of the people around her. She will never learn. And I could care less right now. She has even started a vicious rumor and told her Mother who happened to mention this to her grandson and he told my daughter in the grocery store a few weeks ago.--that my daughter and I are not getting along because I do not give her money to stay here. We agreed on a certain amount and when I was not working she told me not to worry about it and I could make it up to her some other way. told me about it and I told her that that witch needs to keep her nose across the river and out of my business. I have proof that I have been giving her money every week--called cancelled checks. That really pissed me off and I am afraid that one of these days she is going to say something to me and I am going to get into trouble. She is the type of person to have you arrested in a minute. Oh well hope things work out for the best for you. Take care Dorothy -- Re: Normi Normi, sounds like I need you around to draw my blood. Thursday was the most horrendous day I can ever remember having. This new internal med doc that I went to wanted to do more labs. He is thinking maybe I have primary biliary cirrhosis and that's why my liver enzymes are staying elevated. to make a long story short, I had 5 different people try 10 times before they got my blood. The doc's nurse finally got it on her second try from my ankle. Normally, I go with the flow and I just laugh as they poke and prod. Everyone is normally amazed because I refuse to get mad and am so good natured. I am hard stick on the best of days. I've been in the hospital 6 or maybe 7 times since mid july. Every vein in my arms is just about destroyed from all the IVs. Anyway, Thursday was just not a good day. Every single time they tried really hurt and by the time I'd been stuck 8 times and they are telling me they have to go for my feet and if they can't get the blood there the doc will do a femoral artery stick. I don't know what a femoral artery stick is but it sounded really scary and painful. I was crying and my whole insides were shaking. The nurse was so very sweet. She even prayed (first asked me if it was okay) before she tried to get my blood. She got it on the second try. The first one in my foot hurt like hell, but the second one in my ankle was really not that bad. By the time I left I had calmed down and was even laughing again. The doc handed me a prescription and said "this will make you feel better". I'm thinking valium or something. I first thought I wouldn't even get it filled. I have some clonapin the rheumy gave me and have taken it a time or two when these last two months of so many fun health issues have gotten the better of my nerves. I decided to go ahead and get it filled. My mom dropped me off at home and went to get it. I had never heard of the med. It was Zyprexa. I looked it up as I always do and when I saw that it's for schizophrenia I became hysterical. I cried for hours and hours. The doctor was a real jerk the next morning when I told him I didn't appreciate him giving me a med for schizophrenia. He said it was used for other things and he didn't give it to me for schizophrenia but if I didn't want to take it, don't take it. It does end up that it is often used short term for depression and if he'd just told me that when he gave it to me he could have saved me a horrible evening of very serious depression. Anyway, I decided not to take it but did decide to go back on wellbutrin which I had taken in the past. God knows I have reason to be depressed at this time. I can't seem to stay out of the hospital for more than a couple of weeks at a time! Boy, I've really digressed. I started this e-mail only to ask you if you would come and draw my blood next time I need it drawn! Anyway, I ended up finding out that my loving sis-in-law who was so insistent that I go to her pcp (this internal med doc) because he was going to get to the bottom of my illnesses tells my mother (while I'm in the various labs with the vampires trying to get my blood) that she had suspected that I am a hypochondriac (only she used another word that my mom can't remember) but when I had my gastric bypass surgery (for weight loss) she knew for sure that I was. She also told my mom that my sister is obviously the same since she had a gastric bypass six months after me. She told my mom that my pain is in my head and is not real. She also ended up telling me the same thing the next day. Needless to say I told her where to stick it and hung up on her. Now, mind you, she has had two heart bypasses and I don't even know how many cardiac caths. With the last 3 or 4 cardiac caths they found no blockages and could not explain her continued chest pain. My mom was very upset about what my supposedly so concerned sis-in-law had said about me and was afraid to tell me but my sister told her she had to tell me. I told my mom that frankly I found it quite funny. I have always known she was a two faced bitch but she really did seem concerned about me so I allowed her to become involved in my health care. Big mistake but I won't make it again. I told my mom she is just green with envy because I have lost so much weight and she is struggling to lose weight and can't. (beleive me I know how that feels but I have never begrudged anyone else success) I just can't believe she would be ignorant enough to talk bad about me to my mom. According to my mom, the sun rises and sets in me and I have never, ever been anything but perfect! I've left out some of the details but my hubby really let his sis have it. I told my mom that it's really a good thing because now I have a perfect excuse to not have to go to her house. It's always a hassle at holidays because she whines if we we don't spend part of every holiday with her. She's never been married and has no kids. My hubby's parents are deceased and his only other sibling lives 1000 miles away. Anyway, now my holidays don't have to be divided. I can be with the people I really want to be with instead of going to her house and being with her and her stuffy fake friends! Now that I've typed all this, I'm wondering if I already told this story. If I have please forgive me. I was having some pain again so I took a lovely lortab. My brain is foggier than normal and that is BAD! Guest guest
Ok MM, LOL. I am glad to report that aI am now eating a banana , orange banana yogurt and some kiwi right now. FOr all the junk I eat, I also eat very well too though. On a typical day, if my stomach is not requiring just water and ensure, I eat a green leaf and romaine salad with a lot of raw veggies in it. I eat 12 grain bread every day, yogurt, a banana, other fruits like kiwi, oranges, grapefruits, plums, etc.... I eat a grain cereal or oatmeal, I eat a good dinner like tonight. I had a piece of lean pork, wild rice, a hefty salad, and fresh steamed broccoli. I eat sardines or tuna for the EFA in it. I also use flax seeds that I ground daily, I use primrose oil, salmon oil, and acidophillus normally. I also eat stuff like sunflower seeds (raw), pumpkin seeds, ( also raw) etc.... SO, I do adhere to eating good foods, and I was good about the junk stuff in moderation. I just seem to have to have something everyday now though. It is either ice cream, cookies, a donut, or something. I mean I do not eat the whole carton, but about a good quarter of it....lol.... I cannot just have one of those half cup servings, poo poo on all that. So, I am being good. see? ALso, I just found a new passion this weekend. I got some avacado tortilla chips, and boy are they good. :-) Oh, and for you ice cream lovers, ( SORRY MM ), not only is Denalis BOGO, but Ben and Jerrys is 2 for 5.00 right now. So, if you have Alberstons grocery stores where you live, get there fast...... LOL...... Love, Normi Re: Normi>Normi, Maggie, and all ice cream lovers....Would you guys cut it out, >already?!? I've>had one whale of a brunch today, and cooked Italian for dinner, and here I am >drooling>over ice cream. Have a heart, guys, and give a girl a break, here. Guest guest
Dorothy, Thanks for the understanding. I am so blessed with my family. We NEVER have any of the kind of problems I have with my sis-in-law. This is not the first time by any means. I will just keep my distance and be thankful for the excuse to not have to waste my precious time being around her. Of course, my not being around her will mean my husband won't be around her much as he doesn't really like to do things without me on the weekends! good enough for her. She can whine all she wants on Thanksgiving and Christmas. If my husband wants to go to her house that's fine, but I sure as heck won't be there! Guest guest
Becky, I have AOL IM, and I have MSN IM. AOL is "normipoohbear", and on MSN it is normipoohbear@..." I had trouble all day trying to get on AOL, it kept saying I was not signed on and I was. The person I was trying to IM with was having the same problem. I wrote to the group, and Trish wrote back and said she was getting the same thing, and she has AOL. I went to AOL, as MSN was having a problem earlier , so I have been SOL for IM today. Never had this happen before. I changed from AOL to qwest almost a month ago. My new email is normipoohbear061@... I still need to DL yahoo IM too. Anyhow, I am going to read a few more emails and get my rear in bed. Maybe I can dream about custard or something good like that. I just hope I do not see a giant yeast ball bearing down on me though.......... heheheheheheheeee..... I will throw all my diflucan pills at you.lol.... Guest guest
Hi . My pain has decreased to "tolerable" for now. I am going to keep meds in my system. I think the lodine XL, vicadin, tylenol, bengay, ice, heat, etc... it helps. I cannot say it makes my stomach feel very good though. I really get weary of all this stuff, as the last time I was taking all this stuff was when all that massive bleeding happend last november. And no one is getting no naso gastric tubes up my nose again without a fight or black eye. I know it is not their fault, but just like, ok! we are doing this and go ahead and swallow! have they ever had this done?????? CRAP! They tell me, that the meds for lupus will cause some bad issues for the colitis, do not use them unless you have too. This is where lupus gets sticky. I mean I need meds for that, but then I risk the ulceration and bleeding of the colon. He did tell me last year that I could lose part or all of my colon if not careful. I think this is part of why my parents want me to come there too. The first thing they said, was get on that phone and make an appointment for asap! I am trying to call CA right now, but the lines are busy. Since I have been here, I have been unable to get alternative care I trust, and unable to get any cortisone injections in my back , neck and shoulder areas. I either got one or both in CA. I think the weather change has something to do with this escalating as well. It may be dry out, yet there is a change in the air and more moisture still. It is kind of like when I lived in CA, the pain level got really bad. MM is so right, the moisture in the air, that causes the PAIN. Fog? that makes everything all wet and damp, it is like a cloud of grey mist. So, it does cool things way down. And MM being more towards the coast gets it heavy, as did the central valley. It gets so bad , you cannot see your hand in front of your face when you are driving. Scary shit! Yipeeeeeee, I now have an appt with my on monday oct 7th at 1:00pm. Maybe I can get straightened up some and get some pain relief as well. I cannot wait. It matters not that I have a trip. I am going one way or another. I mean, I get there and feel like hell or feel like hell here. I know I will get some relief there though. I also cannot get treated for the ulcerative colitis by michael until he physically sees me. Those herbs are drugs, and he has some specific herbs for this, but could not send those. He told me when I left CA, he could give me any herbs and treat me for anything he has seen me for, which was a lot, but the UC came here though. It is weird, my abdominal area will feel like a heating pad has been on it and the rest of my body is cool. Inflammation! I could have used the herbs he gave me before, but until now, I was unable to afford them due to all the financial set back we had from relocating here. So, maybe I can get my body a bit back in some working order. Plus I am still praying that the med care in denver works out for me as well. Hope you are feeling ok today. I read what MM said to you about the eustachian tube. I totally agree with her too. I do saline washes etc, here as it is dry climate. I keep thinking my ears are infected, but they look and there is mass pressure in the ears. It is what can throw you off equalibrium, and it can make your stomach nauseated as well. I take humabid or guabid with a lot of water as well to try and drain the sinus areas, as they can cause a lot of the ear pressure and all. Love ya , normi Normi>I guess if your feeling bad, Eddie would make you feel a bit better! I>hope your feeling better today. You have a trip coming up and you can't>be sick for that! Oh yea, I'll be mailing out your package tomorrow!>>>>>http://community.webtv.net/sandra504/Serenity>>>
Guest guest
Hi , Yikes! that fall sounds like it really hurt like all f*ck! Are your knees feeling any better at this point? YOu have had a hell of a time with things lately. I am glad to hear you did not hurt your back or anything else for that matter. You need no more problems. Ok! Does this guy think he is "robocop" or something? You hear about cops harrassing people like this all the time anymore. Maybe you should follow him quietly and video tape the SOB and have it on tape. You think cops would be smarter than this by now, people are always catching the jerks doing "unethical behavior" now. must certainly have more self control than he is given credit for. That would be enough to make you want to do some real damage to that a**hole. But ya know, that may be just what he is pushing for too, push to the point of lashing back at him. He has NOright touching , or anything on his person for that matter. I sure would turn his ass in, but I would also try getting it on video tape. Got a camcorder, or one you can borrow or rent? I hope keith's dad has taken the initiative to talk to this cop or actually someone above him as well. He is not returning your calls? go above him or whoever you have to. You know, shitty cops like this are the type to entrap someone with their control and power, ya know, push them to the limit, plant sh*t on them, etc..... I do not trust the SOB's anyhow. I have never had use for them my own self. I had enough of those bastards when I was married to ex hubby and they came out due to domestic violence issues. They said they were going to arrest me, for not pressing charges against the ex. I am like, ok, so let me pick out my burial plot first . I had this one cop just pop on in and talk shit whenver he got the urge. I will never forget him. "officer DUCKWORTH", yeah whatever. When I got hit by that drunk driver in 1985, I was left at the scene with the hayward PD, union city PD, and the highway patrol all debating over who's jursidiction it was. I hate them all. People say, oh, you say that until you need one. Crap I have enough guns I could protect myself now before a cop ever could even get here. I will not call you "ms bitch". You may feel like acting bitch, but for a damned good reason. I certainly understand where you are coming from, just do not end yourself up in jail though either. You will not be able to help from there. Got to outsmart him somehow. Love ya, Normi Normi>I just fell. Didn't do anything to my back but my knees are bruised and>cut up. This was before I>found out he put his hands on . He has never called me back. I know>if I talk to him now, I will go to jail. 's dad said he would talk>to the cop. I don't know if he has yet or not. This cop has also told>other people that he knows that all the bad stuff that goes on in town>that has something to do with it. And he told them he will get>. But I promise you, I will get him first. Cop or no cop. He can>kiss my ass and call me Ms Bitch.>>>>>
Guest guest
Hi Donna. Yes, thank you. I am feeling much more relief today now. The meds, ice and heat are really helping, that and my lover "BENGAY". lol...... Good thing too, I am usually pretty good at handling major pain, but it gets to a point where I think I may just get crazy if it does not stop. How are you? I am pretty behind on some emails at this point. Been kind of slow and a little forgetful as well the last days. The drawbacks of normi on meds. ugh! Take care & Luv, Normi Normi Hey Normi, Are you feeling better? Hope you are managing the pain. Guest guest
HI . You can feel bitchy.....:-) Sometimes that can work FOR us. LOL. Remember though, that hormone shots can kind of play with your emotions as well. I wish you had gone off the paxil slowly. I am still wondering about that and the possible connection of dizziness. Whatever is causing you to feel "bitch", hopefully it will simmer down soon. When I feel "bitch" I drive my ownself crazy, and sister, that is a realy short drive as it is anyhow. Try and keep looking at the bright side here, next month, you will no longer get a visit from the kotex fairy. :-) Love ya, Normi Normi>Just feeling a little bitchier than usual but I think that's because of>not taking the paxil.>>>>>http://community.webtv.net/sandra504/Serenity>>>

Guest guest
. It is good to hear that the dizziness is dwindling down a bit. It is a scary feeling. Well, when you go back to curves now, just be careful and make sure you STRETCH before you jump back in to stuff. Got to keep going though, we will gain weight when we got to MM's house. I am going to gain weight going next week to CA . I already have a list of food I have to have..... hehehehehe..... I reguire garlic szchezwan shrimp from chinese deli, a double cheese burger from in and out burger, house chow mein , hot & sour soup, and tai chen chicken from chopstix restaraunt, anything from el burros, and nachos from El taqueria. I know I am forgetting a few things, like china town dim sum in SF, etc..... lol.... OH! I must have some 's NY pizza, yummmmmeeeeeeeee....... How much weight was that ? Just saying it? LOL.... My mother said she has managed to lose 10 lbs and shooting for 5 more. hehehehehe...... I said, yeah right! and what happens when the goat gets there? SHe said she will resist temptation. hmmmmm.... we shall see. She will want to to to Jambas and get those chocolate shake things she likes so much... lol.... And then she told me yesterday , about this creamy peanut butter ice cream she has and how good it is. SHe says she takes like 3 bites every day of it. I started laughing, as I do not even use a bowl, I just grab the carton of ice cream and it comes with ME! LOL....... I mean isn;t that like a slow torture she is doing? I know, I know, MODERATION. But see , if you leave ice cream alone in the freezer too long, it can get freezer burn or start getting a funny taste sometimes, so the key to this is to eat it really fast! :-) Ok, I see why the OT now. But, you cannot be more than one person. I also understand about the ot on the check as well. But, just do it in MODERATION, there is that damned word again. Twice already in the same day, and it is only going on 11:00am too. I thought you maybe got paid once a month. It seems a few people I know who work for the state of CA , they get paid monthly. I know people like to get as much ot towards the holiday season as well. Love, NOrmi Normi >I was a little dizzy at work last night but not near as bad as I have >been. Guest guest
, California does not get humid like it does in places back east and parts of the mid west California can have moisture in it, but it is not that humid sticky kind of heat . I remember that in texas though. There may be some part of CA like that, but I have not been there. I know that GA & MI can get extremely HUMID! depends on what parts of those 2 states you are talking about too. had an ostomy done after the transplant. There were some complications with the last surgery and they ended up doing the ostomy. So, he has had the ostomy since May , pushing 5 months. Well, they returned things back to regular status, so to speak. Due to the complications he aquired after the transplant, he is to be medically incarcerated for 10 days. He will be released the day I arrive in CA. He does not anticipate driving immediately of course, so I will not be meeting him at our fav Starbucks, but I will stop and pick some up and take to his house. He sounded fantastic yesterday morning. You know those morphine pumps work wonders.....lol..... He will soon be able to start eating a more regular diet, well he is diabetic , but he still could EAT at least. I am just ecstatic that he is doing well. ----Original Message----- To: LUPIES <LUPIES > Date: Thursday, September 26, 2002 6:10 AM Subject: Normi >When it gets to the triple digits is it humid? Guest guest
. I guess I shall have to get an RV, just so I can tour the US and try out all the different brands of ice cream...lol... I just do not know how my mom does that though, 3 bites! ? As I said, I prefer to just kind of do it like a " drive thru " thing. Walk on in the kitchen, grab the ice cream, slide by the drawer, keep on walking, and eat my ice cream. Notice, I said MY ice cream! hehehehehe..... I guess I would do better if I stayed out of of that aisle, but I seem to seek it out. Love, Normi Normi >Oh yea!! There is this peanut butter cup ice cream that is to die for!! >I think 's makes it. But I can't eat just one small bowel of that >so I try not to even look for it. Guest guest
Do not think, I am not grateful for being able to eat ice cream... LOL.... Love the stuff. Goats can just do that I guess. On the other hand, you can give me fat free frozen yogurts or regular yogurts and I am just as happy. I was never a picky eater. Dehydrated peppers huh? sounds like something I would LOVE! Since being here, I have been introduced to hatch chilis from NM and all their chilis. I love chilis, well except the habeneros can fry your tongue. I know it would make my eyes water too though. When we had our garden in CA, we grew different varities of tomato and chili peppers. I used to roast and peel them. One night I did a whole bunch and made a ton of salsa in different heat levels. My hands. OMG! they were on fire for two solid days. Felt just like I was sticking them into a raging fire place. I could not sleep , nothing. Then you get water on them, they burn even more, get near your eyes, forget it. Open all your windows. What does he make with the peppers? Love, Normi Normi>Not all of us are lucky to be your size!! So you can eat all the ice>cream you want! I have to talk to myself everyday and say NO, NO, NO!!>Adam has HOT peppers in his deydrater and they are making my eyes>water!! I sure hope they are almost done so he can turn them off!>>>>>http://community.webtv.net/sandra504/Serenity>>>
Guest guest
Donna, I sent you email to your personal addy. Thanks. Love, Normi Normi Hi Normi, Don't you ever apologize for writing too long of an email and for sharing your feelings. That is what real friends do. I am going to have to leave in just a minute, but I wanted to write a little something to you before I go. I will write more later when I get home this evening. I can feel your pain through your letter. Of course CA and the people there are your home base. That is where all your loving relationships and your best memories are. If you are unhappy in CO, I can understand why you wouldn't want to go back after visiting in CA. Even if you can't share these things with your parents, it sounds like will be a tremendous help and I know Mike will help you. She is true friend and has much wisdom. I wished your husband could understand one thing. If he is rejecting you, you will go to someone else for comfort. Is it beyond really talking to him at this point, or would he just not care anyway? You are a worthy person, Normi, and the rejection you are feeling from him is not your fault. Please don't blame yourself for this. The problem is his. Of course, when you are in pain from this, fault doesn't really matter, does it? Rejection makes our self-esteem plummet and then you don't feel worthy of love and we blame ourselves. Please don't do that. You are such a kind and dear person. I have read your emails for months now, and I see how you are always there for anyone here who has a problem. You deserve to be loved and not rejected for who you are as a person. I need to run for now. My personal email is norreds@... if you are not comfortable talking in a group. I really care, Normi, and I will check in with you when I get home tonight.
