Dearest Ladies:

Do any of you have breathing problems? I know that I have a hard time taking a deep breath, and when I do I sound like a Seal! This is so frightening, and I'm wondering if I should go for breathing exercises? When I lie down it gets better, but who wants to stay in bed all day...not me.

My pulmonary specialist said that I'm breathing at about 40%, this too is frightening. I have come off all of my asthma medications because the blood thinners have helped my respiratory problems so much.

Any comments would be appreciated...love always...Lea

You might want to ask your doctor to take a regular x-ray of your lungs and

see if the mucsels surrounding your lungs are inflamed. My lung specialist

told me that i had chronic inflamation of the muscels that surround my

lungs, and that my lungs themselves were ok. The inflamtion of the muscels

around the lungs is what as know as silicosis. I can not spell worth a darn

and this stupid spell check of mine doesn't work. Anyway I find that I

cannot breathe when I lift heavy objects, use my upper body strenght, have

to go to the bathroom, or has gas. Lana

Do not call my new found friend stupid. Lana, your brain is listening and it

does no like it when you put yourself down. Who cares if you misspell words,

I'm married to an editor/historian and he constantly corrects my spelling. I

guess after 25 years I have learned to ignore his criticism.

Thank you for the information on my lung condition. I have had three PE's

and it can be frightening because the symptoms for me when I had the

pulmonary embolisms were like an asthma attack, not typical of the normal

people. I will ask my pulmonary specialist about the inflammation, she will

want me back on the Prednisone and I refuse to take it because I get so fat.

I will use it if it is an emergency only, but antibiotics seem to work for

me...this is a vicious circle.

Honey, I'm so sorry that you too have problems with your lungs too. What I

will never understand is why some women smoke and they do not have the

problems we have....this is a mystery. I guess that we must have had the

deadly implants, my second set were polyurethane (BMS) and my first were the

thin shelled mundane gel by Dow....Dr. Blais's comments.

The manufacturers are so rotten, I hope that they get nailed big-time, by

someone.

Thank you for your help....love you....Lea

I am glad that you consider me a friend. I would be really careful with the

antibiotics! Thats where the majority of the silicon dioxide is. Your immune

sysytem has been under attack for quite sometime now. Those poor little

immune systems soilders want to take a break. Now that the implants have

been removed the soldiers will be able to calm down a little. I trully

beleive, from experiance, that if you don't take any meds now with silica,

silicon dioxide and or silicone, your system should began to relax and your

symtoms should begin to disapear one by one. There is no way that i know of

to reverse any type of neurological damage but you can begain to calm the

immune system systoms, fibromyalgia, fatigue , arthrits ect: I could be

wrong, you know I'm not a health care proffessional, but I don't think so.

Please at least consider elimiating those chemical components from your meds

and try to eat only fruits and veggies that can be pealed for a couple

weeks. Eventually you should be able to reintroduce your fruits and veggies

one at a time to see which ones you do and do not react to. The common

things that most peole would do to get well make us sick, it's so wierd. I

am going to look into the other med you mention as well. Most of the silicon

ingredients are listed in the INACTIVE ingredients. Thanks Lana

Lea,

I don't know if this applies to you, but you might

consider it. . .

My father had emphysema from exposure to DDT and

second hand smoke - he never smoked!

His doctors sent him to a respiratory rehab therapist

who taught him how to use his stomach muscles for

breathing . . . There's more to it than that - but he

was really excited about how he learned to get relief

for himself. Also, I think knowing he could control

the bad spells did as much good for him as anything

else. Not being able to breath and not knowing how to

get relief has to be terrifying!

Love,

Rogene

What seems to happen is that in the mornings my breathing is bad, but it

seems to be after a stressful time. Some days my breathing is not as bad,

and we know that GERD can cause an asthma attack. I have been to the

respiratory therapist; in fact, she is in constant contact with me. If I

should go into respiratory distress again, there is to be no intervention.

I'm to go straight to the emergency by ambulance, and they must call my

pulmonary specialist because she wants to track my attack to see if it is

another pulmonary embolism. When I had the PEs, they all started like an

asthma attack, which is not normal. All the doctors have taken such an

interest in my case. It is still frightening I just want my life back.

Thank you for helping me...love you....Lea

Do you have pulmonary fibrosis? Have you been checked for this? I

know that this can sometimes happen in lupus and definitely can

happen with scleroderma. If that would be the case, there are some

meds that I think can help, and sometimes it stops getting worse on

its own or even reverses somewhat. If you haven't been checked for

this I think it is something you should make sure you dont have.

Dearest Kathy:

I have been checked everything under the Sun. The doctors have told me that

I do have lupus, MS, Crest Syndrome and Osteoporosis...the list goes on.

Would the pulmonary fibrosis show up in a chest X-ray or an MRI? It should

have been noticed when they did the VQ scan when I had the last pulmonary

embolism.

Honey, thank you for your sweet note....love you....Lea

Dearest Lea,

I'm so sorry to hear you too, have these dreaded breathing problems,

I hope you will find a healing. We just don't seem to fit in

that " box " of whats " normal " with the chemical induced problems.

If its any consulation, Dr. Vasey has told me he has seen women do a

complete turn around with these lung problems. I hang on to that!

Mine has gone to pulmonary hypertension and something small(?)

located on my lung. My lack of insurance does not permit a

pulmonary specialist..UNLESS, I'm in the hospital with emergency.

I've been dealing with this for the last five years...

Thanks for the info about GERD causing asthma attack.. thinking back,

I can fit that link together.

STRESS is a another big one for me also... I need to take frequent

healthy breaks where I lay down and close my eyes and do deep

breathing (stomach breathing, as was suggested) It helps get me

through the day.

Hang in there! Sending a hug and prayer your way! Rosie =)

Thank you for your sweet note:

I wish that you could be seen by a pulmonary specialist because pulmonary

hypertension should be monitored closely. We know that things come and then

mysteriously they are gone. I had a large tumor in/on my liver back in 1985

and we thought that I would die, but three months later it was gone! Dr.

Vasey is a wonderful man and we are so lucky to have him. We have our Dr.

Blais here in Canada, he is not a medical doctor, but he sure knows about

our conditions.

GERD is a major problem if you have asthma, but I continue to take Losec and

it seems to help me. I must stay away from spicy foods or I'm in trouble. My

doctors really treat me like an Aids victim, I am not a victim...I'm a

survivour, I hope. I agree stress is a killer for us, we have to avoid it

like the Plague.

Honey, please take good care of yourself...love always....Lea
