Guest guest
Kim It is funny that you should ask that. I had that for a couple of months after explant and had completely forgotten about it until now. they were so sensitive. Now it is completely gone! Guest guest
The pathology report is not usually sent to you unless you request it. Some doctors don't even do a pathological exam of the implants or scar tissue, but I have heard that Dr. Melmed requests it automatically (does anyone know if this is true?) You need to ask him for the results, I would thin. There are samples of letters to be sent to your doctor to request a pathology report of your implants and scar tissue, so I just wanted to make sure everyone understood that this is not normally done unless you specifically request it, and even then you need to be sure to ask for certain things to be examined. See this link for a copy of the letter: http://members.tripod.com/jeena3/explantletter.htm? (This is also in our links section, under the folder called " Explant Information. " ) > I have a question about the pathology report. After explant are you > usually sent the pathology report? I went to Dr. Melmed. Maybe someone > who has gone to him can answer this for me. Guest guest
I was told by Dr. Blais that if a doctor doesn't routinely send ANY tissue taken from the body, it is considered medical malpractice. This is something that has to be done. As far as the implants, they can do anything they want with them. You must ask for them if you are sending them for examination.glory2glory1401 <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: The pathology report is not usually sent to you unless you request it.
