Guest guest
I thought I answered this, but I don't see the post. I did the coffee enemas myself at home and they are really easy. When my naturopathic doctor first suggested I do them, I told him flat out No Way! I thought he was kinda off his rocker to even suggest it. But after I did some research and found that Dr. Gerson was using them with great success and they had scientific validity behind them, I just followed the directions on my own at home and it worked out pretty good. You just need a glass pan (or porcelain or whatever...just no aluminum), organic coffee, a strainer and an enema bag. It's actually quite simple. I do a water enema first to clean out. That makes retention easier. I usually have no problems whatsoever retaining the coffee enema for the 15 minutes. Occasionally I can't hold it the whole time, but for the most part it is a very relaxing time for me. I read my Bible or pray during those 15 minutes on the floor, so it's actually a very treasured time for me! If I start to cramp, I just massage my abdomen and it usually passes. My husband does the coffee enemas almost every day, and he started doing that because of a discussion with Dr. Fuller Royal here in Las Vegas that we had. Dr. Royal (he's an MD but focuses on homeopathic medicine as well) told us that he does them every day, and when I asked about the safety of that he said he's done it for 20 years with no problems. I know that the Gerson Organization recommends 3 glasses of freshly squeezed juices per enema to replace nutrients and enzymes, and when I asked Dr. Royal about that, he suggested Alpha lipoic Acid as a supplement to replace glutathione. I guess my point was that if my husband can do it, anybody can. He thought I was crazy when I first told him about it, but after he tried it one time, he became a believer. He said it makes him feel really good, and he has adopted a detox lifestyle that surprises even me. Hope this helps!
