Bill,

This statement I think can really be explored

and open doors for everyone.

Am I am understanding you to say the AS community when you say *us* in:

" I think, hope, believe all of *us* know it. " ?

Because I have to tell you when I am speaking to anyone

and this 'know it all' as you call it quality is projected than that is my

perception of the person I am speaking to. I think to myself, " This person

thinks they know it all. "

It would seem as though the 'KIA' speaker is asking the listener

to somehow magically understand that he/she does not intend to project a 'KIA'

quality even though that in reality, that Is what is happening.

I think that is asking a lot of the listener and taking the responsibility of

the behavior off of the speaker and putting onto the listener.

I am hearing, I know this 'KIA' quality is off putting, but I like it and I find

it comfortable there fore it is the listener's responsibility to deal with it,

not mine.

The listener is not being treated with any thought or respect for their feelings

or experience which turns this type of conversation into a one sided lecture

basically. Something the listener can hardly wait to no doubt walk away from.

It seems as though the speaker requires the listener to possess the skill of

mind reading. A skill that does not exist.

Please do not take offense, I am merely trying to offer what the perspective of

the listener is in this scenario.

Looking forward to your reply.
