Guest guest
kristin that is really weird that you brought the eardrum thing up as it has been going on w/ me for years... I always thought it was my sinus issues and always being stuffed up... maybe it is something more. You are right, it is awful annoying!! shari

Guest guest
Hi and Shari and all.. I have severe ringing and thumping in my ears also! I have had for years! I have a benign vestubular brain tumor developed on the 8th cranial nerve that Dr. Vasey thinks is related to the silicone. I had silicone in my system for about 13 years, because the ruptures and the capsules were left in and they couldn't get everything out when I finally did get to a good doctor. Because of my problems, I've done some research in the past and found out that the vestibular problems are quite common with autoimmune disease. I think there is a silicone study on this also, but can't locate right now. Here is an interesting link for more information about the ear connection with autoimmune disease. http://www.tchain.com/otoneurology/disorders/autoimmune/aied.html Hang in there! Our bodies are built to repair themselves =) HUGS... Rosie =) > kristin > > that is really weird that you brought the eardrum thing up as it has been > going on w/ me for years... Guest guest
Thank you Rosie!! It's one of those crazy things that when you tell an MD " my eardrum thumps " they just look at you quizically and don't do anything about it. > > kristin > > > > that is really weird that you brought the eardrum thing up as it > has been > > going on w/ me for years... Guest guest
One night I had a distinct thumping in one ear . . . I think the sound originated with my heartbeat . . . I can still hear that sound occasionally, but not as sharp or pronounced. The next day, the hearing in that ear suddenly turned off! . . . Nightmare! . . . I ran from doctor to doctor trying to find out what happened. They gave me a round of steroids. Some of my hearing returned. When it started returning, I had this almost unbearable high pitched scream in that ear. Thankfully, it settled down to a low tone. After multiple tests, I was diagnosed with Miener's disase. I argued with them that, since I didn't get the vertigo that is supposed to go with Miener's, it was something else. They insisted it was Miener's . . ..However, years later, the last doctor I saw told me that it was something else . . . Not Miener's since I haven't experienced further attacks and hearing loss. .. . Go figure! . . . That was one of my first lessons in learning not to trust the doctors! BTW, I'm still traveling . . . be home tomorrow! Love to all, Rogene
