Guest guest
, Hey Kimber, Third, I am so proud of you Kimber for what you have accomplished in just one week! Now if you get the rest perhaps that you so deserve that would be wonderful I would think? I wish you an easier week from now on. Keep strong girls, To: Stillsdisease From: beakergirl73@... Date: Tue, 7 Jun 2011 16:02:39 -0700 Subject: first week back at work Hi All, Well today was a full week back at work and amazingly enought I only worked 49 hours so it wasn't too bad. I have held fast to the " limited duties " and have actually said the word " no " a few times, my doctors and managers are still alitlle shocked to hear me tell them no but they are understanding better than I had thought they would. As usual we had several nurses out and I had to pull triple duty one day, but I talked to the practice administrator that night and she promised if it got beyond double duty again she would call in a temp so I didn't push myself too far again. My youngest daughter also graduated from High School this weekend and I had her graduation party, the mthen so it has been a very full 10 days. Sadly, my temp has started back after just 1 week of work but since I didn't rest any over the weekend my rheumy says we will keep an eye on it for a week and see if I need to double up on some meds or go back on disability if it dosen't level back out after a week or two. In the mean time if I am not at work I am to be in bed or layng on the couch (most of you know how much I hate those words) On a brighter note, my patients are very happy that I am back at work and I have been getting all kinds of goodies all week from them and that makes everything I have gone through to get back to work worth it, just to know that I was missed and that I make a difference in their lives.... I am so much happier back in my element than I ever was at home....just hoping the fever isn't sticking around again, because if I have to go bacl out again so soon I will have to go to plan B and see if I can get a jpb teaching in a nursing program. Hugs to all, Kimberlee
