Hi ,

Janene had tons of tests, including those for candida, and all were normal.

However, she was deteriorating.

After we had wasted months in doing tests, she decided to treat for candida

and leaky gut anyway, assuming she had the problem. A lot of tests done in

labs aren't that reliable or accurate.

She's taking olive leaf extract and digestive enzymes including slippery

elm and now seems to be doing a lot better.

Chris.

I was tested for candida and didnt have it.

, I take the East park brand. I got it by the case, less

expensive. Two pills 4 times a day. I also take Reserve aged garlic

extract by " Kyolic " 600mg twice a day and grapefruit seed extract. by

" Nuti Cology " 75mg twice a day. Drink half your body weight in water .

Carol: I found it on the internet at www.eastpark.com. I called them at and

they said that it can be ordered direct from them. I haven't tried it yet. Am

I right in understanding that people should take it if they test positive for

candida? Should they take it for other things associated with arthritis? If

so, what other things is it good for? I know there has been some discussion on

this but I can't remember (senior moments ya know!)

Dr. tells me that she has found candida overgrowth in every

patient that has come to her for the AP. Dr. Weg says he has found

candida & chlamydia pneumoniae in every patient he has tested - not only

those with inflammatory rheumatic disease. He no longer bothers to test

- just goes ahead with candida therapy.

If you've taken antibiotics, NSAIDS, DMARDS (MTX, gold, Plaquenil,

etc.), steroids and any number of other drugs out there, you need to

check for candida, and in some cases leaky gut.

Dr. treats for candida (using herbs) at the start of therapy and

gives her patients vitamin IVs. She also checks for allergies and uses

NAET therapy for them when necessary. All of her patients seem to

respond to the AP faster.

I've had several of Dr. Brown's patients tell me he treated them for

candida as well.

So taking olive leaf seems to me

> to be something that will help overcome the bad side effects of antibotics.

There are a few people that appear to be getting good results using the

olive leaf for candida.

Yeast is normally silent in the intestines. It's when it causes leaky

gut and the toxins get back into the blood stream that you experience

its effects.

I wish I could get it across to all of you how important it is to

maintain a healthy gut. You can't have good health with an

out-of-balance intestinal system. A strong immune system may carry you

along for a while, but eventually it will catch up with you and you'll

never suspect where it started.

> So did Dr. Brown go on the assumption that everyone had yeast and how did he

> treat for that? I don't recall him mentioning it a whole lot in his book.

Dr. Brown wrote that book at 82 years of age while dying with bone

cancer. He knew the book would meet with resistance from the medical

community so was very careful what he wrote. It is far from a complete

manual of AP therapy.

> Apparently he had success without worrying about it .

> Somehow I sense all these issues are making this whole " cure thing " a pretty

> confusing mess.

Challenging is the word, but the first place to start is by checking the

gut, and checking it periodically as AP therapy progresses.

You hit the nail on the head, " lesser of... " , not " free of " . That's why

there's so much admonition on the list to take prebiotics and

probiotics; and so much conversation about herbals and other

alternatives.

I ordered the East Park Olive Leaf from India Ink. It was $26.99/bottle

plus

$3.00 S & H. Guess it must be from a previous batch.

- I also tested negative for candida but I'm wondering if I should try

the olive leaf. What kind of improvements have you seen in Janene since taking

the extract? Are you sure they are because of the extract or could they be

from something else. Naturally, I want to get well as soon as possible and I'm

open to just about anything that seems logical. However, sometimes I get a

little reluctant to keep taking more and more things into my body on top of the

multitude of meds and supplements that I already take. I've been contemplating

olive leaf for about 2 months now and having a hard time trying to make a

decision.

Hi ,

Olive leaf seems a really useful supplement. In fact, most products from the

olive are helpful. The best recommendation I can make is that my daughter is

thoroughly sick of the tons of tablets she takes every day but she firmly states

she will never miss taking the olive leaf.

Herxing can show in many different ways - increased pain and inflammation, mood

swings, depression, flu-like symptoms, skin problems like itching. As the

antibiotic attacks the infection, toxins are given off. The herx symptoms show

up where there is most toxin activity. See if your symptoms follow a pattern

related to when you take the antibiotic and that will give you a good idea.

Chris.

Does anyone have experience using olive leaf for arthritis.

I have some literature indicating that it is a powerful

antibiotic and wonder if it would be a good adjunct natural

aid to take with the minocin.

Also, can a herx reaction also be associated with one's

skin breaking out (on the face)? I sometimes get headaches

with the minocin. On Wednesday I awoke with a headache that lasted

all day, then Thursday my skin on my face was all broken out.

I recall reading on the rheumatic.org site that it is not uncommon to

break out with a rash as a part of a herx...Check the FAQ section and the

Doctor's protocols section. Believe you will find it there.

We use almost solely NOW Foods brand supps and have a lot of faith in them. As

long as

you read their " Free Of " label carefully to make sure your children don't have a

problem

with anything in the supp you should be fine.

Good Luck!

I started my son [at age 8] with 250 mg and worked up to 3000 mg per day.

I use Natural Factors brand, from my local health food store. I like

it because it does not contain many additives and fillers.

Hello everyone! I received my olive leaf extract and the book that

tells all about it. After reading the book I didn't want to wait to

try it so I took some on Thursday night. I had an immediate herx!

Within 45 minutes I was in the bathroom with horrible cramping and

diarrhea. The cramping didn't go away for almost a full 24 hours. I am

guessing that this might mean I am more toxic than I suspected. I am

going to try using it again but willstart with a much smaller dose. (I

took 2 pills)

I'm wondering what I should test for to figure out what will be best

for dieting. I tried contacting Dr. Lykissa a while back but we just

played phone tag. What tests should I order, and is Expertox able to

perform them all or should I also look for a naturopath??

10 more days till explant and counting!

I’d look for a good naturopath to do your testing, otherwise you may waste a lot of money doing unnecessary tests or not running necessary tests.

, Have you omitted sugar, dairy, and gluten from your diet? All are

inflammitory and when i took them out of my diet my cognitive symptoms improved

a lot! Also, systemic enzymes like Wobenzym have helped me a ton, and also alka

seltzer gold.
