Dear Lea, nightsweats are caused by fluctuations in hormones. Women

tend to get nightsweats when their estrogen levels drop. Why this

happens I don't know, but you may want to have your estrogen levels

checked. After childbirth I had horrible nightsweats for several

months... with all three children! I still get them from time to

time.

left breast was removed due to a Seroma; however, the plastic

surgeon could not get all the garbage out of the right breast. I had

rotten Dow first and they ruptured, then in 1976, he removed the Dow

and put in BMS's old garbage silicone implants, these ruptured very

quickly....just like the Dow. We did not know that these devices

were ruptured until 1992. Thank god that I did not have saline put

in because Dr. Blais has said that saline is worse than silicone!!

Help. I wish that they done a double mastectomy because I might be

better now.

Honey, they took me off the hormone medication because they claim that it

causes pulmonary embolisms! Some of my friends are on hormone medication and

they have not had a PE? Wonders me.

Lea...I am new to the group and still have saline implants...have

had them for about 2 1/2 years. Everyone around me...doctors,

friends, relatives, keep telling me that my implants have nothing to

do with how I feel. I am curious who Dr. Blais is and why he/she

thinks saline implants are even worse. HELP! I need the most

information I can get. Thanks!

Dr. Blais is an expert on failed medical devices. He worked in Canada

at the equivalent agency to our FDA, and was one of the first

scientists to sound the alarm about the dangers of breast implants.

Because of his stance, and the corrupt politics, he was fired from his

high position there. But now he has his own business analyzing failed

medical devices, and he has also written papers and testified in court

about breast implants. Needless to say, he is not well liked by the

manufacturers and plastic surgeons who love to discredit him, although

he has outstanding qualifications. I was also told that saline

implants are worse than silicone gels. I am not sure why, but I

surmise that it has something to do with the higher incidences of

fungal infections and bacterial colonies that he finds in the saline

solution of these implants, whereas silicone gels do not have this

problem. (Of course, they have their own problem of ruptures carrying

silicone poison to all major organs of the body). All breast

implants are dangerous.

Dr. Blais is a kind man who will take the time to talk to you if you

have questions. We have his contact info listed in our files if you

need it.

it is the estrogen that can cause you to be more likely to have an

embolism. Have you tried natural progesterone? It stopped my hot

flashes. You should check with your doctor first to make sure it

isn't contrindicated because you are on so many meds including blood

thinners. Most likely it will be ok.

Kathy Dear:

The night sweats were bad even when I was on estrogen, I think that this is

all part of the silicone poisoning. I also start to burn from the inside and

then my face turns bright red and burns just like my tongue. We think that

when I get rid of all the stress in my life things will get better.

I get so angry at the lawyers/doctors for abusing the women, but I must

learn to take care of myself. When I'm down, I'm no good to anyone. I want

to help the women so much, but I guess they will survive all this just as we

have, but if I could take away their troubles I would be happy.

My doctors have warned me about taking any medications without their

permission.

Thank you for your help...love you....Lea
