I am wondering if we with thyroid disease find that we do better eating more

often, smaller meals, or eating less often. I am not talking about weight issues

here.I have found that most of the time, I am almost anorexic about eating. Even

at my fatness!

I understand that hypos may have loss of appetite. I find that I cannot seem to

eat in the morning. I eat my main meal about 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and then

sometimes a pb sandwhich in the evening. Rarely do I snack.I am not doing this

to lose weight.

I do know, that when I was 12 and 13, I was allowed to eat 1 meal every three

days. My mother (the doc-maybe why I am allergic to docs!) had charge of me

then. I was not fat when she was doing this, I was not fat during my life until

I started a rapid weight gain when I was 18 almost 19 after a head injury.She

also had me on speed, and running behind the car. I was also wearing a

contraption like a cross to help my posture- I did not have poor posture. Well,

with this regiment, I lost so much weight that I lost my menses, that was

regular since age 8. I became very underweight, and developed some nasty

infections, that I almost lost my hands to. That was when I gained the height

that I still am 35 years later.
