Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I started out in a group class at my gym, doing Iyengar yoga and continued with private lessons for the past 4 or 5 years. I would find a beginner’s class and go. Don’t be nervous, lots of people are beginners are starting out for the first time. Yoga will definitely strengthen up your back. I started because I have a herniated L5/S1 disc. I rarely get back pain anymore at all. The additional benefit is that it does wonders for stress. Let me know if you find a class and the style of yoga it is and I’ll try to give you a bit of info regarding it. Kenda Hi Kenda, I thought you would be the perfect one to ask this question. I want to get into yoga and meditation. I am a bit nervous actually. How did you start out? Do I just go to a beginners class? I am having this horrible upper back and neck pain all of a sudden and I think it might be stress related.... I tend to get a bit stressed out. Do you know of any good books on meditation?
