Guest guest
Hi Joanne, So sorry to hear about your friends. These implants are terrible things and I just can't believe that they are still putting them in people! In my case I do not have high blood pressure. My blood pressure is normal or low. Although my CRP was elevated and my doctor told me not to worry about it I did. Heart disease runs in my family. I was also worried because when a CT scan showed some kind of 'growth' next to my heart and then found that my CRP was elevated. The growth alone would alarm anyone. I've had two CT scans and was told that if it gets larger, it must be removed immediately. This would require open heart surgery. This is scary stuff! What else do I know about CRP? I know that it could possibly be an indicator for inflammatory bowel, arthritis and autoimmune disorders. I had an emergency endoscopy a few years back. My stomach was so bloated, seemed to happen overnight. Also, had the colonoscopy at the same time. They gave me two and 1/2 times the amount of demeral and valium, intervenously than a 'normal' person and I was still awake during the entire procedure. The colonoscopy was nothing but when they stick a tube down your throat and you are awake it wasn't pleasant. The doctor was stunned at the amount of meds she gave me and I was still awake. The nurse after the surgery told me how much meds they gave me and said she rarely sees anyone awake after what they gave me! I wasn't stunned as I have always known that my tolerance to most meds are greater than most people. Anyway, at the same time I was tested for celiac. They scraped a portion of my stomach. Never heard of it being done this way. Most people are tested through blood work. I tested negative for everything. Good thing but it was the worst thing that I had ever been through. The tube was inserted in my mouth and went into the stomach to the very beginning of the upper intestines. It was just horrible being awake for that! I was fighting and pushing the doctor away from me the entire time because I was choking. When I first became ill, and had no idea that it was the breast implants, I was tested for so many things that when I look back I truly don't know how I got through it. However, there are people on this site that have been through much worse than me! I was so sick and each week was constantly being tested for something else. Everyone was clueless until I found this group. I knew within the first few minutes of reading the postings that it was the breast implants. I just wish that I hadn't been ill for 3 years before finding this group. I have learned quite a bit from these wonderful people. I've also made a few friends! My stomach is still very bloated and within the last few days has bloated another three inches. I'm starting to think that it is from too much bacteria in the upper intestines. If you want to find out more about CRP. I highly recommend that you do a search of C-Reactive Protein on google. There is quite a bit of good information out there. Take care, Beth. Joanne Fedderson <jokokomo@...> wrote: Hello Beth S, I wonder how many of us have elevated CRP? As far as I can tell, this causes high blood pressure, and in turn stroke nad heart attacks can occur. I have 3 implant friends who passed with heart attacks and strokes at early ages. I had my ruptured implant out in 1992, so I have been explanted for a long time. How is your blood pressure? I have a macine to monitor mine, and am finally on B.P. medication, which I hate as I do not take drugs readily. I also take a thyroid medication which is only .75mcg's which is a very low dose.. I went on a Dr. motivated diet to help with bringing down my qweight which I hoped in turn would bring down my B.P. Never touched the B.P. levels, however I lost 35 lbs. What do you know about CRP? Do you have any specific sites to check on the internet? Beth S - Klonopin Hi Beth,I took Klonopin several years ago for a postpartum anxiety disorder. I took a very small dose, but found it very effective. It is also used to treat muscle twitches or fasciculations. I know we need to be on as few prescription meds as possible, but sometimes this doesn't always work out. I will pray that your sleep will improve.I am taking Inositol powder, which is a very interesting vitamin, in the B family. It is in the silicone protocol, and helps convert silicone to silica, so the body can eliminate it. It is also very calming and has been successfully used in small studies in Israel to treat depression, anxiety and OCD. hugs,Beth L.Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals.
