Guest guest
Hi All, Sorry if i've put this in the wrong bit, but there is an interesting radio programme on bbc radio 4 listen again about positive attitude. I am not a practicing Christain (i'm actually a Buddhist) so I don't want people to think that i'm tryin g to get them to see the light, as it's a Christain programme, but it speaks of positive affirmations. Before someone posted something about positive affirmations, and russ gave an excellent reply, I was wondering how these fitted in with ACT principles. Positive affirmations never really worked for me, they just caused more stress. the programme is called "something understood, attitude problem, Mark Tully considers the impact of our mental attitude on situations, events and objects" It's under the religion and ethics bit. If anyone has the chance to listen to it, could anyone explain the relevence of the poem about the hoovers? I was cleaning the kitchen at the time and that bit bit went straight over my head but i did find the programme interesting. I hope someone finds this useful jessaroo
