Guest guest
I use estriol cream on my face. Doesn't affect me systemically. I used a cream from http://www.antiaging-systems.com/ . It was worthless. I think "standard" doses of estrogen are too low. I've been on 1.5 mg of Estrogel but only get a 61 estrodial. I tried doubling it and got to where I could hardly function because of fatigue. It finally dawned on me that ^E over-suppresses my thyroid. I went up on thyroid and now use 2.25 mg of E. So far, so good. , I went through years of bleeding 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Of course, I was offered a hyst. after, of course, a bunch of Provera. I think what it was was ovarian failure caused by the tubal ligation. It started 6 months to a year after the tubal. Guest guest
Oh I'm sure that is true. So you are now using estriol in addition to the estrogel? I'm using the Estrogel right now. You are right though about that. It's not enough. I was using 3 mg of it and still flashing. > > I use estriol cream on my face. Doesn't affect me systemically. Guest guest
The estriol is cosmetic only. It plumps up the outer dermis and fades lines a bit. I do not flash on 1.5 mg Estrogel. Any less and I do. I've been trying to increase it because of my fat middle. Guest guest
I've had tests 4 hrs after application and 20 hours after. At 20 hours, my E2 is down 10 points. Val Val, what were your #'s like on both????? Thanks ....
Guest guest
On 1.5 mg, 61 (4 hours after) and 51 (20 hours after). I tried doubling it and got terribly fatigued because E binds thyroid. Since then I've upped the thyroid and upped my estrogel to 2.25 mg. Haven't been tested on those higher levels. I do not want my E higher than 130-140 because that is the level where breast cell proliferation may become problematic.
