Guest guest
I delighted about Lulu sharing her experience with us and all the women on the group who have shared so that we have been able to learn. Without this sharing and willingness it would have been so much more difficult to figure out what was happening with the WP fiasco. In isolation we wouldn't have made the connections to understand what was happening. We could have gone into our holes and into deeper depression and getting sicker while someone prescribed meds for the symptoms of the WP. That happened to women who weren't on the group. It makes me think of this great passage... Adrienne Rich writes, "Women have often felt insane when cleaving to the truth of our experience. Our future depends on the sanity of each of us, and we have a profound stake, beyond the personal, in the project of describing our reality as candidly and fully as we can to each other ... When a woman tells the truth she is creating the possibility for more truth around her."Laurel
