Hi ,

Natural progesterone comes in the form of wild yam it is usually harvested in the hills of mexico.. It is pretty potent but without the side effects of synthetics... FOR THOSE who need this. I did very bad on natural progesterone simply because I am very very sensitive to progesterone in the first place. But if that is what you need ... it would be in the form of a cream, it is wild yam and you usually start out with about 1/4 tsp 14 days after menstruation. But if you are no longer menstruating (you need to verify this), I believe this is taken daily.

I've never heard of what you are on but if it's natural it will be in the form of wild yam.

Hugs,

Dawn

I had been previously on estrace/prometrium anddidn't react well, with cramping. She then gave me aestrodial/prometrium in 1 pill from a compounding pharmacy, and aftera few days, the same happened, cramping etc. I called about it andshe suggested activella, and I wrote that that was a syntheticprogesterone and I wasn't interested as well. She now suggestscompounded estrogen and progesterone in a gel to the skin, saying itwill bypass the liver and then perhaps I won't have cramping, etc. Iwould like your opinion on this please.....when the progesterone is ina gel, is it natural then because I don't want the synthethicprogesterones.
