(remember I am the one who did not sleep for 20 months due to a chronically ill infant AND I had major back surgery in the middle of that stretch.) She said that until the adrenals are healed there is little chance of any hormone balance , I have been out of commission due to Wilma, but I'm back now catching up. What you say is so interesting! I think your doc is totally right. I have adrenal fatigue also, due to not sleeping a night thru for 4 years, with an autistic child. Then right as I got him to sleep with melatonin, my E was so depleted, that I couldn't sleep for 4 more years due to night sweats and insomnia. When you can't sleep, you don't make many hormones, or GH. So my doc gave me something for sleeping, to raise up my GH. (even though I do the shots too, I couldn't afford more) When I first was tested, and shocked seeing everything was so low, when I take very good care of my self. My doc said about the adrenals fatigue, well of course you have adrenal fatigue, your child has autism! Like duhh, I am so out of touch with reality, from lack of hormones probably, that I didn't even think about how depleting and aging stress is. My husband and I have aged 20 years in the last 10 for sure. Getting some hormones back, is helping, and getting the dosages and deliveries figured out will help too. Along with healing the adrenals. Thanks for mentioning it. nne
