Hello Ladies,

I finally found all of my implanting documentation and confirmed with

my implanting doc on the details of my surgery. I have PIP textured

saline implants. I read that these were not approved and are not

available in the U.S. anymore (since 2000). The warning says that

the

denial is because of the manufacturer's inability to provide

long-term

study on the product. Has anyone heard of this? Anyway, they will

be

off to Dr. Blais in a week. My surgery is on the 22nd. I have

limited internet access, but will try and check back on the 20th.

Take Care & Be well...or as well as you can be.

Hugs.

,

Word from one of our plastic surgeons is that,

although PIP was not approved, they were actually the

safer of the saline implants. No defective valve to

leak.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Dearest :

Thank you for this information. I thought that " The " saline implant

was the safest, no such thing as a safe saline according to Dr. Blais. Could

you please tell me what the textured material is? I hope that it is not

polyurethane. I will look in The Augmented Breast, in this book they talk

about just about every breast implant.

Take care....love always...Lea
