Guest guest
> Didn't someone mention that they felt a sensation in their head >when they let the Armour dissolve in their mouth? Hi . Yes, Zina did! T3 can " exacerbate " any underlying condition or sensitivity you might have. And it probably did that with you. It exacerbated my Mitral Valve Prolapse, for example, causing me to have a bit more palps than normal. But they subsided after a few days. That's why it can be necessary to introduce T3 to your body gradually... If you want to continue again someday with the dissolving Cytomel, I would try much less, and gradually increase it, and let your body adjust to each introduction. But, at the same time, there's really no problem swallowing it. You might lose a little more than those who let it dissolve sublinqually (due to digestion acid, liver processing, and binding by what is in your stomach such as iron, calcium etc), but all you have to do is take a bit more than if you were dissolving it. And be SURE to take your Cytomel at least twice a day. It's short acting, and needs to be put in your system just like your own thyroid would be doing--- not all at once. Janie p.s. You are taking Armour, and adding Cytomel, is that correct?? Was that because on Armour alone, your free T3 wasn't getting high enough?? Guest guest
No no, I have not had a blood test done since I was pregnant. And at that time I was on .112 levoxyl. My ins ran out and I am now waiting for the new to kick in (should hear today onthat) so I haven't been tested. I only ever had a TSh done though. I was taking cytomel because I went down to Mexico and could nto find the Armour. Then brought me some Armour to tide me over so i started taking that instead. in AZ > > p.s. Your body is not used to the T3, and you may have been introducing too much to your body, too soon, thus the headache. Janie

Guest guest
I'm sure I am.......before I was pregnant I was on .1 levoxyl. I also took 1/2 grain in the afternoon. But do you think if I had taken more I would not have gotten the headache? I'm just waiting on that ins for the blood test. The idea of paying someone $200 for the TSh alone does not excite me!! Does that blood test you can mail away for for $40 cover Free Ts as well? in AZ > > ----- Well some might make fun of me but yes you need more thyroid meds! you poor dear! > LOL > > > Well, I took one grain and got the headache. Guest guest
I think...thuogh I could be remembering wrong, that if you have a healthcheckusa.com lab in your area they will do TSH and FT3 and FT4 for $75. One was a PMS headache last week...that usually would have been a migrane but was only a run of the mill headache...and today, which is from tension and my neck (I am due to see the lovely fabian tomorrow so he will get rid of it). I probably should shut up while I am ahead, but I have not had a migrane since I started going to Fabian. And before that I would have at least one migrane a week, with headaches almost constantly. Of course, I went off the Levoxyl the same week I started going to Fabian, so that may have something to do with it.
Guest guest
, The 'mail order' one that I read about is TSH only... have you checked www.healthcheckusa.com to see if there is a clinic in your area? It's around $75 here to have a panel II done through them- that includes the frees.... Guest guest
>.......before I was pregnant I was on .1 levoxyl. For comparison, I was on .125 Levoxyl, and am now on 2 1/4 grain Armour. So you were underdosing yourself. But still, as you increase, you just may be the type to have to do it gradually to prevent the headaches. Guest guest
Hi , That was me. I don't get a raging headache, but I get this intense feeling in my head. Its not bad, so I don't mind it. I was just wondering if anybody else had the same experience and whether it was normal. Gosh, if I was you I'd swallow it too. I don't think a raging headache is worth it. Zina > Didn't someone mention that they felt a sensation in their head when they let the Armour dissolve in their mouth? I bought Cytomel in Mexico and was letting that dissolve in my cheek and I was getting raging headaches about 10 minutes into it. I thought it was perhaps my eyes giving me the headache so I started wearing my glasses as soon as I woke up. That helped a tiny bit. Well, yesterday I took the Armour in my cheek and had the same reaction. So today I tried just swallowing it. Voila! No raging headache!! I do have a little bit of something behind my eyes but nothing unbearable. I am still willing to stick it out with the Armour to see if the symptoms subside. I'm just thrilled I am getting the T's and the calcitonin!!! > > in AZ > >
