Guest guest
Anne Rochon Ford, Women and Health Protection annerf@... Thank you so much for adding your powerful voice to ours. I happily pass this on to those rallying tomorrow to bring awareness to this issue ... and others in our Support Group sending their backing from afar. Best regards and may sanity prevail ... at the FDA and at Health Canada. Dear Ilena I was referred to your organization and website by fellow Canadian, Joyce Attis. I wanted to let you know that a loosely formed coalition of women's health activists here in Canada are working on the same issue of fighting approval of these " new " implants with the equivalent of the FDA in our federal government. Public hearings will be held on June 17 in our nation's capital, Ottawa, and we are organizing along with women like Joyce and her fellow breast implant " canaries in the coal mine " to bring together the right mix of people (women who have been harmed, scientists who know the research, advocates for health and safety) in order to hopefully persuade our government to do the right thing and not approve this product. We are and will run into many of the same problems you have faced in the U.S. around getting our word heard. My main reason for writing is to tell you that we want the women who are protesting in Washington tomorrow to know that we in Canada strongly support them in their efforts to draw attention to what is happening. We hope that their efforts will not go unnoticed by those who seem to have had a lapse in common sense judgement around the approval of these products. If you can, please let them know that we will be there with them in spirit. thanks Anne Rochon Ford Anne Rochon Ford, Coordinator Women and Health Protection P.O. Guest guest
Thank you for this, because it is great to see that we do have support here in Canada as well as the United States. I pray that they will change their minds. Love you....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```` Rally in Washington ...
