How do I help keep my bones and teeth healthy?

Blood pH must be kept between 7.34- 7.45 (somewhat alkaline) Acid-forming foods provide very important vitamins, and need to be in our diet Alkaline-forming foods are just as important, if not more so Though there are systems in place that maintain the delicate pH balance in the blood stream, at the cellular level a person can become too acidic. This is especially true if the diet is out of balance. An acidic pH in the body develops over a period of time and is a foundational root cause of aging and degenerative disease

An alkaline diet would not allow a person to become acidic as they age. It would contain the minerals and vitamins they need, allowing them to live long healthy lives. It should consist of:

75-80% fruits and raw or steamed vegetables, Raw milk (not pasteurized or processed) if there are no allergies, because the calcium balances out the phosphorous it contains, making it a neutral food. Raw eggs and other raw animal proteins (when these proteins are cooked, they become much more acidic) Soaked & dried raw nuts and seeds (seeds unsoaked & undried are acid-forming, but sprouts are alkaline forming because of the power house of nutrition they become). When raw nuts are soaked and dried they are actually partially sprouted and alkaline-forming or neutral. 20-25% of the acid forming foods like rice, grain, nuts, seeds, and meat (These foods contain fiber, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins and other nutrients that are important. To eliminate these foods would be a crime, but to have them as the predominant part of a diet can be equally as damaging)

Most American diets contain 80% acid forming foods and 20% alkaline forming foods. This is the exact opposite of what is best for us. It is the raw foods that are most important. This includes raw fruits, vegetables, raw protein foods and raw fats. The more you use heat and the more you process the fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, meats, etc the more acidic they become. Steamed or lightly sautéed veggies are fine. However, canned or cooked fruit, veggies, all processed juices, heat dried nuts, pasteurize dairy, etc are no longer alkaline.
