RE: C Diff - super bug or not?

Sadly c. diff is now classed as the latest super bug to hit hospitals in

the UK. I don't know about in the US but it's on the increase and it

has overtaken MRSA in terms of the number of deaths caused by it over

here (that's the flesh eating one). The Department of Health have not

yet recognized it as a super bug but the statistics speak for themselves

(you can download a database for the number of outbreaks of all super

bugs for each UK hospital) and they are pretty scary! My Mum has to

have a hysterectomy in the near future and she was already terrified of

catching MRSA - God knows how I'll get her to have the operation since

c. diff played a contributory factor in Dad's death!
