For those of you out there who may have had saline implants following mastectomy and then had them explanted...

My implants were explanted in January of 2005. The implants, which were implanted in March, 1995 had not ruptured or leaked. But surprisingly, the capsule surrounding the implant was of very irregular shape and found to be teeming with aspergillus...mold. Apparently the original plastic surgeon never removed the capsule surrounding my temporary implant. Dr. Blais suspects that the capsule became colonized with the mold following saline injections to inflate the temporary breast implant. I am left with MS-like symptoms and wondered if anyone else may have had a similar experience.
